The thumb twiddling gentleman is security, not and adviser.

While I was being a facetious, I wouldn't rule out that that guy getting a high level job in the Clinton administration. As divided as we are, thumb twiddling skills are likely to be in high demand the next four years.

We can joke around about it...but the headlines for that write themselves. And the fact is, the questions of her fitness are now legit. if she cant even handle being outside for the memorial how healthy can she be?

Agree. I would take a page from Bush 41 and go with "food poisoning" but who is really going to buy it, even if it were true? You can't watch that and not have it raise some sort of question about Mrs. Clinton's health.

Their best bet is to own it and be honest. You might be able to get some sympathy out of that.

One thing: people in this country better hope her health does not place D Trump in the WH.

That is literally my only fear. I think it is the only way he wins...

Then again, it could be just what her campaign says it was. A serious medical condition that causes one to faint may not lend itself to you appearing in public 2 hours later looking no worse for the wear. And no one looks good or healthy when fainting. Youtube is full of healthy young people at weddings keeling over in a dead faint and they often look like they are falling through death's door when fainting. While it wasn't really "hot" enough to make one think of heat exhaustion, that's really a hydration issue, not so much a temperature one. What bothers me more is that her campaign doesn't stay on top of these sorts of things. Sometimes all it takes is someone whispering in her ear "where is your water Mrs. Clinton?"

For all the talk about the machine a Clinton political campaign is, I'm not seeing it. They don't get ahead of things and the have let fester things that -- if truly trivial -- should go away much quicker. If she truly is healthy maybe it's time for a little public indignity that comes with a complete public release of medical records. Nixon had to go on TV and talk about things he felt were out of bounds at a time when we were a lot more sensitive than we are now.

Wow.

Not a great weekend for the Democrat endorsed candidiate. Pretty much a complete negative trifecta.

1. "Basket of deplorables" - not a great move calling a big chunk of the electorate "deplorable", but she went on to say they were
2. "irredeemable" - that's being overlooked by the media, but that's as bad as the "deplorables" because it admits she doesn't see that group as ever reachable. That undecided in Ohio (et al) is going to ask themself if she sees them as "deplorable" and "irredeemable".
And finally
3. "Overheated" - no, health is now an issue (per the Washington Post) - it was 75 degress (DP at 53) and overcast; Mrs. Clinton was the only person (non-security) in the crowd with sunglasses besides security

So what are the best lines you've heard/read about "overheated" so far?

- pant suits are hot
- chemotherapy makes some people warm and woozy
- it was easier to claim than she was still hung over from last night's bender*
- Aunt Hillary -- "my shoe!"
- "Who forget to put a new rechargeable battery in robot Hillary? She short-circuited again!"

*Plays off the "she was the only one in sunglasses" (except security) at the event

For months we've heard that the Republicans should have this in a walk over Mrs. Clinton because of her high public disapproval rating. If they had any kind of candidate the Rs would/should romp.

Given the last 48 hours or so, I'm pretty sure the Democrats are feeling a lot of the same things right now --> How can it be this close (all of today's Sunday talking head show polls) when Trump has such high public disapproval ratings.

I assume this will be amended to "exhaustion" shortly.

Oh no. That would be too easy to play into Trump's August 15 statements that Mrs. Clinton is physically unfit for the job. She can not be "exhausted".

Wow, is right. Overcast and 70s. That doesn't sound good at all
