, in reality, he put on a 4-day infomercial for conventional antipsychotics so boring the star attraction was Chachi.

Change the star attraction to the first lady I can hear this same rant on talk radio. Gotta love perspective or lack thereof :D

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XV: Before & After: Dancing in the Streets of Philadelphia!

I'm real curious how Murdoch and Fox play this post Ailes. Donald Trump repeatedly humiliated that network more than anybody on either side of the aisle since its existence. He insulted its top talent (Kelly) multiple times with no consequences, and they had to roll over and beg for him to do interview and debates. For a media outlet that prides itself on being a conservative kingmaker, do you really want somebody who openly defied you to win the WH? No, they're going to endorse Hillary but I'm curious how much they prop up Trump down the stretch.

Meg Kelly's contract is almost up...rumors are that she may well leave.

Pretty much this. Other than Donald's speech itself, is there any speaker there that your average person would tear themselves away from their usual routine for? (Those of us commenting here probably did, but we're all dorky like that.) I mean, is <insert Trump kid> or <insert washed-up D-list celebrity> really that interesting? Is Cruz going to say something you haven't heard before? (Hell, the highlight of his speech is what he didn't say.) And it's not like Pence is memorable or even a rising star; and after five minutes it was easy to tune out of his look-how-cute-I-am-with-my-smirk shtick. All of the accomplished and noteworthy people in the party didn't even attend, so it felt like a lot of people (for example, the freaking head of the Trump Winery) whose sole purpose was to fill time.

Yeah. So other than a plagiarized speech by Tump's wife, the star of the convention was Cruz. The same Ted Cruz that was voted the least liked guy in Washington...in the end, he didn't even endorse Trump and rather than vote for Trump, told voters to 'vote their conscience'. Ouch.

They are morons for not checking first, and it's beyond great that they got caught doing the posturing they always do.

However, that is a well-written and effective apology.

Imagine if Trump was caught in the same act. He'd have doubled down and tried to blame everybody in the world except himself.

The game (which they all play) is the shame. But the apology was the right thing to do, so we should at least respect that.

...on the flip side, I don't know if a candidate for president has ever had so many weapons at their disposal: husband and past president Bill Clinton, current president B Obama, current VP and strong presidential contender in his own right J Biden, inspirational spokesperson M Obama, another presidential contender in B Sanders, solid VP in T Kaine, perfect youth spokesperson Chelsea Clinton and just about any celebrity in Hollywood.

I can't imagine there are any undecideds. This election pits two public figures who have been well known for over 25 years. Nobody is going to wake up the day after the speech and say, "now there's something I hadn't thought of."

These are two diametrically opposed views of the world: midnight tweet vs detailed policy statement, war lord vs subcommittee, "The Strongman" vs "it takes a village," Calvera vs The Seven. Their Venn diagrams have zero intersection. Nobody who seriously considers one is going to seriously consider the other, let alone vote for them.

Turnout. It's what's for November.

*raises hand* I'm undecided between HRC and Jill Stein.

I can see that. I meant people who are undecided regarding Trump and Hillary.

I'm sure from a certain perspective, if you changed the name from Beyonce to Jackyl, you'd be talking about the same concert this summer too.

This. I'd suspect there's a larger than usual undecided group right now, but it's people looking, and still waiting, for an excuse to vote for Trump, and people still deciding between voting for Hillary even if she's not their favorite person or potentially falling into a vast abyss of nothingness. Everybody knows if they're voting right or left. It just depends if lefties vote Hillary or Jen Stern, and if righties vote Trump or whoever the Libertarian guy is(I wanna say his name is Bob Reddit?).

They still haven't proved he died at that moment. Why do you think every person that carried out the operation was killed?

Really? Cause just last spring, I heard the guy who supposedly did the deed speak at my company meeting. Looked pretty good for a dead guy. Sounded ok too.

I hadn't seen Biden's speech and am watching it now. It's fantastic.

Yes, yes it was.

Hilllary is on now. If she hasn't buried Trump after this convention then this country if further gone than I ever thought.

Agreed. Even with my dislike of Hillary I gotta say she nailed her speech. If she is like that at the debates she should cake walk. She said more in one sentence than Drumpf has said all campaign.
