I'm not being an elistist tech snob--it would just be nice if her staff didn't have to waste their time printing her gd emails for her.

But, but, but, the trees! Is there a carbon offset for cutting down the tree that was someone else's carbon offset?

Just please tell me her printer is using renewable soy based ink ...

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XIX: Escape from the Planet of Debates

If Trump stayed with "30 years of bad experience and nothing gets done" he'd be dangerous.

Nah, there's an easy counter to that.

"Yes, it's true, my husband and I have been on the national political scene for close to 30 years now. But we weren't there in a vacuum. There's another party represented in Washington who fought against and countered, or even just killed outright many of the things we tried to accomplish to make the average person's life better. During my husband's first term, I was given the opportunity to take part in crafting legislation to overhaul our healthcare system, to make it work better, be more affordable, to cover more people, and create better outcomes in their overall health. That effort was crushed outright by the members of the other party in Washington.

Since that time, things have only gotten worse. You need only look back upon the last eight years to see that there is one party in Washington trying to do things to help ordinary citizens lives be better, only to be blocked and obstructed at every turn. Why, the leader of that other party had said, on the day this president took office, was that his, and his party's primary goal was to ensure that he served only one term. And there every action since that time was taken to ensure that this would happen. Luckily for this country, they were unsuccessful. But this wasn't for their lack of trying.

I intend to keep fighting against this obstructionist arm of the government, to pass legislation that will make every one of your lives better four years from now than it is today. That's why I want to be your president."

The problem is that your response does not work ... in today's media. Allow me to show the edited sound bite that would make the news cycle.

Excelsior. 538 Nowcast now has OH at 49.9% Clinton. One more poll outta do it.

It's nonsense to follow these poll hours to hour of course -- all of these changes are within the MOE. But it's fun when the arrows are going in your direction. :) (And torture when they go the other way.)

The change in the polls must be due to the large number of people illegally using my address in Ohio to register to vote. I have opened it up to anyone living in a deep red state who wants their vote to count. People may wonder why my town has had a sudden increase in population. :D

CONSPIRACY THEORY ALERT! Check this out. In the past RCP always included PPP polls in its aggregate. You can see this if you click on a particular state. However, yesterday PPP released a bunch of polls favorable to Hillary, which you can see in this link:

https://politicalwire.com/2016/09/29/state-poll-roundup-thursday-7/

But, RCP mysteriously isn't including them! Take CO for example: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/ep...rump_vs_clinton_vs_johnson_vs_stein-5974.html

Things that make you go Hmmmmmm ;)

(I'll let one of the whiners at daily kos point this out to the RCP folks).

Maybe so. But record number of people watched the first debate. The people that actually watched will know. as will the ones at every public event she makes.

The media gets away with crap like that cause people are stupid. The ones who aren't need to demand that their media not kowtow to the stupid ones . But yeah, i know, money.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XIX: Escape from the Planet of Debates

Nerdfight over CO. RCP has it R+0.5, 538 has it D+3.1. The difference is house effects -- e.g., CNN reported R+1 but Nate corrects this to D+1.

We're going to learn who's right in November.

If Rodham can get a primary rigged, she can get a general rigged.

That's called PBS.

The few large brains will never be able to beat the many small brains in any sort of democratic contest. And that's probably for the best, even if it's irritating #allconsumersmatter

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XIX: Escape from the Planet of Debates

Trump is behaving like a freaking child. It takes a mountain of confirmation bias to overcome that evidence. This election is a reminder of just how powerful the monkey brain in us still is.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XIX: Escape from the Planet of Debates

lol... CNN breaking news is that Trump did in fact have a faulty mic at the debate.

I chuckle because the big red Breaking News banner on the website is usually something like a plane crash...

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XIX: Escape from the Planet of Debates

It's CNN. Despite Trump calling it the "Clinton News Network" they have been concentrating on him, good and bad, for the past friggin' year. It's unwatchable unless they are live-covering a protest/plane crash/shooting/etc. If it's not live, it's Trump. Period.

Actually CNN frequently uses their "Breaking News" banner for things far more mundane than a plane crash. And they report it as "breaking news" sometimes for hours. Which is of course nonsense. It is breaking news the first time you report it, and no longer. I could even understand if they kept it up for a while, but you can literally tune in hours and hours after an event and they will term the most simple of recaps -- with nothing new in the last 6 hours -- as "breaking news."

Anything for viewership. Are their numbers so bad that they are trying to lure in < gasp > deplorables!?!?!

< /snark >

The Commission on Presidential Debates revealed in a one-sentence statement Friday that Donald Trump's audio was impacted earlier in the week.

"Regarding the first debate, there were issues regarding Donald Trump's audio that affected the sound level in the debate hall," the commission said in a statement. No other details were immediately made available.

My only question is how did CNN get this before DrudgeReport? I figured the Trumpettes had to know this when it was released by the Debate Commission and would've immediately fed it there.
