Again people, math. I hate to get all "mathy" on you, but crunch the #'s. As I've said repeatedly, all Hillary needs to win is to turn out the Obama voters from 2012. I seriously doubt there's any Obama - Trump voters out there. :eek: With a 5M vote cushion, and not counting any new voters Bernie attracted who didn't participate in 2012, Hillary can afford to lose about half of his primary voters and still come out on top. That's highly unlikely but as long as Sanders voters don't start voting Trump in huge margins (really a ridiculous proposition, just vote Stein) a few die-hards will get their names in the paper due to lazy media looking for easy stories, but that's it.

Tough set of battleground state polls today. IA, PA and FL all have Trump passing Hillary...with OH dead even. Bad email PR and racial divisions are said to be causes.

Yes he did. If Drumpf was in the Senate or the House and wouldnt be dead in the party when he gets trounced everyone on the GOP would have backed him including George Will and the former presidents. If Bernie chose to spite Hillary he truly would have been an independent cause the Dems would not caucus with him.

Major, this isn't directed at you, but polls like this are designed to get a rise out of simpletons. Quinnipiac is notorious for putting these polls out most likely to generate traffic on their website. You're going to see polls like this right up to election day showing Trump on the cusp of victory, if only he can gain a couple more % points. Unless Clinton voters all think the election is on Wednesday, Trump is screwed.

I still think Fivethirtyeight is probably the best outlook on things...things stand at 73/27.

Trump announces his VP 'top potential picks' as Pence, Gringrich and Christie (he also mentioned Sessions somewhere). Can't imagine its Christie though.

"After someone else is announced as Trump's VP, Christie will be seen on the top of the Empire State Building swatting at airplanes."

You know, Trump keeps claiming that he's friends with "many gays," but if he were really friends with them, wouldn't some of them at least fixed his hair and makeup by now?

It's been a bad week for her and Trump has, uncharacteristically, not done something stupid to take the heat off her.

I still expect, absent a real scandal, for the next week or two to be his high point following the traditional convention bounce. Then Hillary will get her convention bounce and likely never trail again, because he is going to keep saying stupid things again at some point.

Q puts out shock polls all year until the weekend before the election when they miraculously try to get it right. I seriously doubt Trump gained 11 points in a week. :rolleyes:

McClatchy is about where the race is. A general 5% lead for Hillary. They have it at 3%.

Funny, as an independent, you seem awfully interested in polls showing good news for The Trumpster. Hmm.....:D

No, I got sent the Marist link because of this:

Clinton does somewhat better in a four-way race, topping Trump 40 to 35 percent. Libertarian Gary Johnson has 10 percent support, while the Green Party’s Jill Stein has 5 percent.

Someone was taunting me in email with Johnson's 10 percent.

I was fascinated with the overall polling results because reading here Hillary can't fail at this point. I wanted to see how it all would be explained here.

And I've never seen Stein at a number anywhere near 5 before this.

As close as the senate is in numbers, D to R, they would caucus with him
