Which is why they'll probably do better this time than any time before.

Libertarianism is like any religion. It's fine as a guidepost, but only fools take it literally.

I don't doubt it. I have to admit, after watching that ad, I'd have to give them serious consideration if they began polling in the realm of relevance.

Honestly, if there's a candidate who fits your bill I say go for it even if you're all alone.

You could get involved with whatever local Libertarian party structure there is. In most places after a year you'll probably be the precinct committee chair. :)

Honest to god, I had a trial once where the defendant, in trying to prove he wasn't racist, made sure to clarify that he always says "bows***" rather than "bull****." As though that matters when you call someone the N-word before refusing to serve them.

I saw a guy at an HR review defend himself against a harassment charge by telling the IG "I meant it as a compliment."

I think you are correct. Johnson / Weld is more like a moderate / socially inclusive republican ticket.

I've never gone 3rd party, but given the choices that the two major parties have presented us, I'm pretty sure this is how I'll be voting. Unless something of course.

I am continually amazed at how all-male groups of professionals over the age of 60 (or any age if they're southern) talk about women when none are present.

At my work it's Eternal 1972.

Working here has moderated my position on things like guns, but it's made me 50x stronger a feminist. That sh-t still goes on.

Maybe someday when I don't have kids in diapers, I'll get involved more--but I'm fairly certain it won't be with the Libertarians.
