Nah. There are morons everywhere. Trump is no worse than Silvio Berlusconi or Marion Le Pen or that UK National Front dingbat in the 70s.

The far right is like any kind of invasive species. We'll never be rid of it, but from time to time we have to hack it back so it doesn't destroy everything.

The US has actually been very lucky. We've flirted with fascists for the last hundred years, but we've still never fallen to them. It would be nice if we could move back far enough from the edge that it wasn't a high wire act, but maybe now, with them having taken over the mainstream right, we'll see a flight to the left just out of everyday people's instinct for self-preservation.

I just think it's hilarious that his campaign finance strategy is to alienate his donor base, claim he gets enough free press to make up for it, and then eliminates the press.

It's like playing chess against a two-year-old. Can't see more than half a step ahead.

Couple of notes...

On a larger scale, it's interesting to see another example of a big mouthed bully not be able to stand up to what he dishes out. What a petulant child.

On a local scale- Trump gets off by being politically incorrect. But the second someone hurts his feelings by WORDS, he gets upset. Might it be time for one to actually look at their word choices, considering how sensitive they are to others words? Geez. For all the people who claim that words don't matter- to Trump, and anyone who wants to get into a fight over being called something- apparently they actually do.

What I find funny is the Washington Post, along with the New York Times the go to mainstream media publication for Clinton related conspiracy theories peddled by right wingers, is getting shut out by the very people who's @ ss they're trying to kiss. Let that be a lesson to them. :D

Beyond that though as has been noted before, this election really tells us what kind of country we want to be. One that prizes sanity over reality show politics, we're all in this together vs lets scapegoat people who don't look like us. I'm not sure how anybody can support Trump with a straight face unless you hate the same people he hates. The guy is nuts. Nutty people don't belong in the most powerful job in the world.

His next move though is the big one...in a month or two when people have moved on from this he will whine the media isnt covering him and cite The Post, Politico and The Times. He will play the victim and get mad base points.

Keep the story handy so when a few of the Righties in here (you know the ones who "arent voting for Trump") talk about the media you can repost it. Also, when some numbnuts talks about the media conspiracy on FB (you know the type) you have it at the ready :D
