Their wackos will love it.

Bigger rating than the super bowl :D

Only if Trump shows up! Say he bags the convention and it turns into a Cruz/Snooze (Snuz?) fest? You couldn't pay people to tune into that. :D

You know, maybe its me, but I just don't want a left wing version of Trump running for President. Coarse language. Searching for enemies. Extreme positions. Call me an old fashioned limousine liberal corporate sellout ;) but the Democratic party ought to be better than that.

Hillary must've made a great speech to Verizon to get paid a quarter million. Why can't we see it?

Re: Campaign 2016 Part, let's say, X: There's a red moon rising On the Cuyahoga River

Because you are a 1%'er!!! Duh!!!

I'm actually a 12%'er! That's the amount of people who get paid leave after the birth of a child. Then, a year later the company announced its now 16 weeks at full pay! I got screwed. ;)

That'll happen sometime after Bernie releases his tax returns and stops blaming his wife for the delay.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part, let's say, X: There's a red moon rising On the Cuyahoga River

I'm not hearing as much establishment trying to stop the Trump train. Have they accepted their plight...or have they worked out a backdoor strategy?

I think Sanders is running out of new enemies. Just my own anecdote but isn't Verizon like the only US tech company where if you call the help desk you get an American instead of somebody from India?

Biggest problem with Bernie. He is trying to create more American enemies who are not enemies and for Americans who don't need any more enemies.

The third party threat is empty...by the time he gets screwed over he will have missed the cutoff to register in many states to be on the ballot.

I'm not so sure. Trump won't win as a third party candidate. But he wouldn't anyways. That doesn't mean he wouldn't do it...for revenge or 'just because'. He is Trump afterall.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part, let's say, X: There's a red moon rising On the Cuyahoga River

Here's a question that maybe some Berners can answer for me. The notion seems to be that if Sanders doesn't win he'll have a strong enough showing to influence Hillary's policies. So far so good. But if he and his surrogates are calling her a corrupt sell out corporate whore, exactly why should she then be kowtowing down to someone who's she defeated in the primaries? I don't understand the sense of entitlement some Sanders backers seem to have. If you're going for a promotion and badmouthing everybody else in your group as lazy incompetent stiffs who are embezzling funds from the company, but then one of your co-workers get the job, don't expect them to act like nothing happened. I'm hopeful for many of you when you get out of college and into the workforce you'll figure this concept out rather quickly. At least faster than a 75 year old socialist VT Senator has...

No-she did. You got laid. :)

Congrats on the heir to the family fortune. Though if you keep voting D, the government will take it all :).

Thanks Joe! Actually it was twins!

If you think tD is a disaster and TC is a recipe for defeat, you hope that there is a palatable 3rd choice out there.

On the 33rd ballot, the convention nominates noted writer and former Nixon aide Pat Buchanan. Mr. Buchanan has chosen noted veterinarian Ms. Brandy Carter of Beltsville, MD as his VP candidate.

I've never understood your passion for Buchanan, and I likely never will.

He's not the worst political analysis I've ever seen. Not bad at all actually. That's not an endorsement of the man of course.

Definitely a strong end of the year push for poser of the year here. Some quality ****posting from rover

Who are you?

She wouldt which is what I have been saying to Kep since day 1. Hillary doesnt give a crap about what anyone thinks, certainly not those that oppose her. The second she wins she will turn her back on the progressives faster than Bill found an intern the second she hit the sack. She is no friend to any progressive.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part, let's say, X: There's a red moon rising On the Cuyahoga River

So....who exactly is going to speak at the GOP Convention? :D No Bushes, no Senators, no ex-Presidents, no past nominees (can you image the reception Mittens will get with the Trump crowd?).

Maybe they can just have right wing talk show hosts do all the prime time speaking gigs. ;)

The Shilla from Wasilla will be there for sure...

Which is why most progressives are not voting for her.

What do you call the extra 2.5M votes she's received at Bernie's expense?

Before you answer remember the part about "creating new enemies...:

Depends on the opposition. Hillary was a loyal soldier to Obama even though he defeated her in the primaries, so there's that. Hillary is plenty progressive, she's just not looking to turn America into some agrarian society with no corporations but a 90% tax rate like Sanders wants to! ;)

Somebody had a good point, which was if Sanders succeeds in outlawing all financial institutions who's going to pay all the taxes he plans on raising from them?

He's William Blake from Denver. It looks like you're proving Kepler's point about not fully reading other people's posts, Rover. :D

My favorite part is when he wrote that I should get over myself! Wayyyy too late for that. ;)

Oh ffs get off you're high horse. Hillary has more votes because of name recognition and her husband's accomplishments. The most support I hear for Hillary is "well, she can actually win" or "she's a woman."

I don't care about "creating enemies." Hillary is as much an enemy to me as any Republican. Anybody who seeks to bump up the corporate class over the working class is my enemy. Clinton is only slightly more tolerable than any Republican because she might throw us a bone.

Soooo....nobody in the 9M or so voters who've backed Hillary are voting for her because she's 1) better suited for the job, 2) has more realistic plans, or 3) is covering a more diverse range of issues during the campaign. Nope. Its because of name recognition and her being a woman.

How elitist of you.
