Re: Campaign 2016 - I'm Biden my time till I doctor the hearing.
The problem is if you read the article carefully you'll see that our losses have been worse than usual, and of course they have a nasty tail effect because 2010 was a very bad election and that's the redistricting driver.
The good news is:
1. demographics favors the Democrats heavily
2. the next redistricting election, 2020, will have the full electorate
3. as you say, continued occupancy of the White House means dominance in the federal courts, which means GOP Neo-Jim Crow schemes will be struck down; flipping SCOTUS will mean reversing Citizen United and McCutcheon and restoring the Voting Rights Act
4. having a slim majority in Congress with an opposition party in the White House is TERRIBLE for the Republicans in a time when Congress is so hated
Will you just let Scooby live in his own little world? He's the left's version of Flagdude!![]()
However, what he failed to mention is EVERY President leaves office with smaller representation than when he got in, EVEN St. Reagan! I know, the shock of that statement...
Win the WH and the Senate goes with it. Then Dems would have controlled the Presidency for 12 years and the Senate for 10 out of 12. That leads to control of the courts. Regarding the states while Scoobs has a point in places like Florida and Ohio where the state parties need to do much, much better, otherwise he's spewing nonsense. States like Maine and New Jersey are going to have a pretty quick snapback once their deeply unpopular governors leave office. I'd also look at places like Nevada and New Mexico where popular sorta moderate Goopers are term limited.
