Who said he didn't use them? Every ****ing President in History has used them. The GOP's God Lincoln issued one that makes Obama's look like child's play.
You aren't as good at evading as some around here.

That so unlike Shaheen voters, I'm sure you think those guys are rocket scientists

I'm sure she has her share as well. But, unlike Brown, you don't have to shut your brain off and excuse her blatant hypocrisy.

Re: Campaign 2014: The Epic Struggle To Win The Senate And Change Nothing

While the House is a majority rules institution, I'm thinking in a Dem senate + Dem Presidency scenario a lot more things are not going to be subject to the filibuster.

The GOP is going to blow up cloture the next time they have a hat trick. Do you really think guys like Cruz are going to respect "Senatorial tradition"? He's got a political bed to feather, ****it.

Blow it up and let the chips fall where they may. There should be zero judicial vacancies. Let Obama appoint all his old Harvard Law Review buddies, and then when Santorum sweeps into office let him appoint the Liberty University football team. At least we'll get stuff done.

The 37th President offers some insights
@dick_nixon: Have the Washington people who marvel that Pat Quinn might win ever been to Cook County, Illinois?

That whole thing is so brilliant:

I said to Henry, this girl Pike, Rosamund Pike, she is pregnant, correct? And he said her husband is Old Etonian and was into dope.

It makes me think HST faked his own death and is blogging from Ecuador with a brace of underage hookers and a grain silo full of Chivas.

By the time the GOP gets control of the Senate and Presidency the judiciary will be so chock full of liberals that Cruz will move back to Canada and run for Prime Minister there...;)

Who cares if Obama said he'd run roughshod with EOs? The fact is he hasn't. Stop chasing windmills draggers.

Yeah, giving the voters information about the candidates is horrible! And the D & R's are doing so well running things!!! OMG!!!!

Anything that gives us this is an unalloyed public good.

Not to mention this.

I don't mind including independent candidates provided they have some traction in the polls. If all their supporters are confined to friends and relatives, then they don't belong on stage. Campaigning is hard. That's a good thing. Its not about just getting your mug on TV for free air time to lob crackpot theories for the amusement of the press covering the event.

But enough about the Values Voter Summit.

So now you're arguing with what Obama himself says he's doing? Now that's hilarious!

Re: Campaign 2014: The Epic Struggle To Win The Senate And Change Nothing

Bob is trying a tried and true conservative talking point, which is "oh, the Prez won't meet us in the middle" when the GOP viewpoint is out on the lunatic fringe. If people wanted Republican ideas running the country, they wouldn't have lost the popular vote in 5 out of the last 6 Presidential elections.

I'm guessing the old dinosaurs in the Dem caucus (Reid, Durbin) finally realizing the GOP has no plans to compromise (only took 5 years to figure that out) plus the retirement of several other accomodators (Rockefeller, Dorgan, etc) who want to play by rules cons already ditched decades ago will lead to a much more aggressive Democratic party when it comes to obstructionism. While the House is a majority rules institution, I'm thinking in a Dem senate + Dem Presidency scenario a lot more things are not going to be subject to the filibuster.
That's not what I said at all. But, I know you get on your Bluto Blutarsky rolls and nothing will stop you, so keep going.

So, Shaheen voters are able to keep their brains functioning while they excuse her blatant hypocrisy? Got it.

Re: Campaign 2014: The Epic Struggle To Win The Senate And Change Nothing

Hmmm....we're seeing the same phenomenon on this message board. Older male conservatives getting their glands worked up over Scott Brown! What IS it with that guy and you righties? :D

Re: Campaign 2014: The Epic Struggle To Win The Senate And Change Nothing

Looks like the RNC has sent out the message to scare their media outlets into getting off their keisters.

It would be tremendous butthurt if the GOP blew it yet again. The Supremes just upheld voter suppression in NC, so even they are getting into the act.
