Re: Business, Economics & Tax Policy 6.0: Nope, it only found woven strands

I work with a guy that used to write proprietary high frequency trading software. He admits it adds nothing of value to society, and he wasn't really happy with the work and didn't stick around too long. This was a while ago.

He thinks they should add a random delay on each transaction. It doesn't even need to be huge, but he says the randomness would be enough to disrupt the algorithms.

in michael lewis's book flash boys, thats pretty much what a group of bankers from a canadian bank did with a system they called thor.

That's actually kind of brilliant in its simplicity.

Finally tracked down the delta on our pay from the tax changes. Dr. Mrs. and I did great, which is yet another reason why the whole thing is a Heist.

But I would like to thank all those poor dumb Rust Belt xenophobes for destroying their social safety net while enhancing our retirement. I will be making extra donations to Planned Parenthood, SPLC, and Greenpeace specifically in your names. Bless your heart.

I'm done with greenpeace. I have been since I found out they damaged the Nazca Lines during a protest. Seriously, **** those guys.

Let's see... save the planet on one hand vs...

Yeah, I'm still good.

There are better places to put your money if you want to save the planet.

Same. I’m coming out better. Money going to dog shelters and planned parenthood

Hey, Virginia is sane now. At the very least, go 1863 and make the Rappahanock a DMZ.

As long as we get New Mexico. Heck, I would be willing to give them everything south of I-70.

mookie grew up 1/2 mile south of i70. mookie's mom has since moved a mile and a half north of i70 :) and mookie's brother lives 2 miles of the north side (but 5m east of mom).

Kinda have to take New Mexico- as I'm sure there are republicans who want to put a wall up along it's border.

Can someone explain to me why republicans hate the CFPB so much.? I mean equifax didn't protect their data, knew it wasn't protected, and when it was breached covered it up and then lied about it and the CFPB does nothing?

They must be giving somebody a ton of money.

They hate FEMA and the CDC too. But, yes, Mulvaney hates the CFPB really bad. Plenty of articles on the topic.
