Business, Economics, and Taxes: Eat Cereal for Dinner

Tesla doing more layoffs including the entire supercharging team

A staggeringly stupid move, in my opinion. The charging network is their last remaining genuine market differentiator. Everyone makes EVs now and they're more and more popular, but the non-Tesla charging network in the country is awful.

They should absolutely lean into this and their battery tech. But the Smartest Man Alive is gonna derp.

I dont think they have the money to do it...I think the board is about to bankrupt the company when they give him his Elventy Billion Dollar Bonus. A year from now we will see the true destruction the tanking of the Cybertruck wrought. Also, I am not sure we know the full extent to how much he lied about battery mileage.

I said it when he first made his heel turn back when he argued against the Infrastructure Deal which would have expanded EV usage...this clown has no idea where the value in his company is. It was always in batter tech and charging tech. Tesla could have been making money hand over fist licensing out tech or charging other companies for usage of their network. With all the major automakers expanding their EV line (and other companies like Polestar and Rivian on the rise) he could have been the "Guy Selling Shovels During the Gold Rush" but instead he is basically going to crash it into an iceburg.

A lawyer in nyc whose firm is already suing Boeing….

found the missing slide from the delta Boeing place that fell off Friday in New York…

outside of his home

yes, I believe it was an older Boeing and likely a delta maintenance issue but this is just funny

Comcast playing hardball is honestly better for the consumer anyways. If their fees go up, your fees go up even more.

tell those motherfuckers we don't need your astronomical carriage fees because you overbid for sports and now are eating your own shit.

I've got a radio. Baseball is the only reason they still make AM/FMs

I have Sling...not even sure if Diamond Sports or whatever stupid name it is is on there. Baseball on TV is like watching flies fornicate...

Not just baseball. It's basketball, and hockey was well.

And it's only going up. NBA is going to get billions for their TV contract and they don't even get great ratings.

It's just about time to just not do sports at all. Bally was one of the Comcast differentiators. I think I am switching to streaming next go round.

By the time hockey and basketball seasons start up a deal will be struck in some capacity. Its the playoffs so regional networks have less value. Plus, Peacock is bidding to take the NBA away from TNT so Comcast will be able to corner that market if they want. $2.8 billion...I figure we are a couple years away from Comcast/Universal going Di$ney on the bit and start canning everyone because ratings aren't good enough. If ESPN can't get good enough ratings no way NBC/Peacock will.

That's the second one, isn't it?

I don't get down with conspiracy theories. Boeing and their suppliers employ an enormous amount of people. Sometimes people get sick and die for no "good" reason, even now (there's always a reason, but sometimes that reason is rather unsatisfying).

Yeah....we just had a guy drop dead at his desk a few weeks ago. People on a telecon with him heard a loud thump as his head bounced off his keyboard, and by the time they got there to check on him, he was gone. Otherwise healthy 38-year-old father of 2. No rhyme or reason.

Woof, I'm sorry to hear that.

We've all known people that just up and died. Sudden heart attack. Aneurism. Infection they just couldn't kick. It sucks and it's heartbreaking. And it's likely what's going on with the two whistleblowers.

But all the same...

It was the jab.

Well the first one committed suicide but also apparently told people if something happens he didn't kill himself...

I mean 99% it's suicide but...

Vaccinated? ;-D

Dammit, rufus beat me to it. That really sucks for the guy and his family though.
