Business, Economics, and Taxes: Eat Cereal for Dinner

Elmo filed his suit in that messed up Texas District...so he is likely to win.

I’ve finally hit a “I’m too old for this ****” moment in my life.

There’s some TikTok/YouTube creator that pops up on various platforms and every video is a skit with the same basic formula of

“hey (random company) that makes thing I like”

”Did you know that I also make this thing for the military!”

or

”German company worked with the Nazis”

or

”Japanese company made planes that bombed Pearl Harbor”

It’s fascinating seeing the younger generations learn that the list companies who haven’t done s-y things is real short. Yes, I know Subaru made planes that bombed Pearl Harbor, I’m still not selling my Outback.

No, you should burn it like your Yeti cooler. Or take a shotgun to it like your 30 pack of Bud Lite.

I think the department of education should use this as a KPI.

The more likes shit like this gets, the more we spend on school.

I like Ryan Kelly, lol.

I think he just uses little tidbits of info to make a punchline, that's all. He doesn't try and bring the company down.

I mean, who doesn't find it funny that Glock, the pew pew maker, also specializes in Horse Insemination equipment.

I just don’t find it all that funny, which I chalk up to me being old more than anything. Corporations do things, ha.

I understand that you realize that corporations do whatever makes them money. I just think that the way he seeks out some of the more surreal examples holds some shock value to everyday people. Companies are known for just a couple of key things when people here a name. He highlights their "diversity". And to be fair, some are so far in left field, there is true comedic value.

As mentuoned, Glock (pew pews) makes horse insemination/breeding equipment. Nintendo (video games) did "love hotels". Texas Insturments (calculators) makes the Javelin RPG.

I mean some of it is low hanging fruit (Kep's employer), but it works for me.

Wait until he finds out about why NASA was so successful in the space race...

If it is done for comedy I think it is lame. If it is done so the youth understand that everyone's hands have blood on them then I am all for it. That is why I always point out the hypocrisy of the Gaza protests when they ignore literally every genocide around the world and live on/study on land stolen from Native Americans and Blacks. Or that they use railway systems that used Asians not only as slave labor but often as pothole filler and live detonators. Or environmental activists who have carbon footprints that would make Exxon blush...

Then again I refuse to drive a Ford or a Volkswagon...so maybe I take this stuff too seriously ;)

Still shooting something.

Hot on the heels of the Mars announcement in purchasing Kellanova snacks last week, Couche-Tard (aka Circle K) has announced they have made an offer for the 7-11 Corp (who recently purchased Speedway from Marathon Oil around the same time Circle K bought Holiday Stationstores).

Slurpees could become more prevalent in the Upper Midwest and Alaska (former Holiday stations)!!

Don’t sleep on NOC - known for its stealth bombers, but ALSO makes ICBMs! :-D

I actually think it's about time the DOJ steps in on the gas station mergers.
