Business, Economics, and Taxes 2: That's Why We Fight to Take the Means Back

Yeah, but you guys rigged the system by putting a lot of people under 50 in nearly six figures of debt before they even get their first adult job. Go to college or you'll be working at McDonald's! A $50k generic degree from a second tier state school later (because they had no business going in the first place), many are still working in the service industry.

Not really my generation. 1963 is at worst Late, Late Joneses.

But the generational butt hurt is hilarious because I can remember exactly the same crap last time and the time before. The Olds are selfish and the Keeds are a generation of vipers. Same as it ever was. You're not even original in your rebellion. We weren't either. The last truly original cultural idea was probably sometime during the Assyrian Empire.

The First one.

Well a young man
Ain't got nothin' in the world these days
I said a young man
Ain't got nothin' in the world these days
Well, you know in the old days
When a young man was a strong man
All the people they stepped back
When a young man walked by

But you know nowadays
It's the old man
Who's got all the money
And a young man
Ain't got nothin' in the world these days, I say
Ain't got nothin'
Ain't got sweet fuck all!

-- Mose Allison, 1957

I identify as (Extremely Lost In Time) Gen Z. They are the first generation in my lifetime I can get through three complete sentences without laughing at them.

We used to have two publishers that made local road atlases, Hudson and King’s. People had very strong preferences towards one or the other. Back when I was in college, I heard people argue vehemently for one side or the other. I used to buy Hudson books because they were more readily available in around my house. To this day, I couldn’t tell you the differences between them.
Hey Jamie, let me borrow your Frommer's

My wife is a human GPS I swear. If we're going somewhere for the first time, she'll study it in Google Maps and almost without fail she can get us there without using any kind of map. Obviously it doesn't work in all situations but an amazing number of times it has.

Myself on the other hand....when I moved to Bahrain the first week or so I had a driver. I did not pay attention whatsoever to the navigation from my house to the office. By the 2nd week I no longer had a driver but a rental car, and the first day of trying to get there on my own was a riot. No cell phones yet either. That was a fun conversation once I arrived.

I have a big ol' map book of all states and major cities for the same reason. And a spiral bound Thomas Guide for Phoenix that ran me about 70 bucks and is phenomenal and worth every penny. A cabbie I knew Before Eternal September turned me on to them.
I still keep my glove boxes stocked with the appropriate maps (thanks AAA).

My sister is like that.

Eidetic memory? I have a partially eidetic memory, but I have lost some of it to time and the ravages of heavy drinking in my 20s.

No. Not with my sister. Some people just have an excellent sense of direction. Especially once they see how to get somewhere.

There have been studies on this, where some people naturally have a knack of knowing how to get somewhere. And others are totally out to lunch when it comes to directions.

Movies. Only have to hear it once and it's there, word for word, forever.

College lectures were the same.

Really annoys Dr. Mrs. because I feel the urge to reel off whole scenes to amuse myself.
Movies I could do when I was younger...that faded as I got older.

There are some movies I will not watch with others cause they will kill me.

Hate to say this- but given Louisiana is one of the most abused states in the Union (thanks to their oil, the environment is terrible shape) they will accept this just for “jobs”.
