Business, Economics, and Taxes 2: That's Why We Fight to Take the Means Back

Hate to say this- but given Louisiana is one of the most abused states in the Union (thanks to their oil, the environment is terrible shape) they will accept this just for “jobs”.
Only customers of the AI data centers should have to bear the utility costs, as part of whatever monthly or annual rate they pay to the provider. But they will force this down our throats to try and make everyone subsidize it.

Genuine question: How do you identify their customers? My thought is you would have to track the data transmissions either to a service provider or to the end user - do you assess the fee directly to Bob from down the block or T-Mobile, who is the cell/internet provider to Bob? What if Bob lives in Canada or some other foreign nation?

I would expect the AI SaaS providers to bear the brunt since they're the primary customer for the DC. If they want to pass those costs on to the consumers of their hosted software, that's their prerogative.

I agree, but the average LA citizen doesn’t. They are happy to subsidize oil by not enforcing environmental laws- because some of them have jobs. I’m sure faux news will talk them into paying more for power and fresh water to support the handful of jobs that will be there long term. They are a very sad state that just takes abuse from companies.

Man Firefox used to be righteous. (Not really but it was the way to avoid the major internet explorers)

Between the interrogation being withdrawn and the evidence in the backpack likely being obtained through an illegal search the prosecution is going to start running out of evidence.
"Anyway, since we seem to be out of evidence, I thought I'd drink a little...."

That is either some epic incompetence, or intentional hoping they wouldn't get caught.
From the ABC News writeup:

The New York police lieutenant leading the investigation into the shooting testified that he set up recording equipment inside an interrogation room in the Altoona station house after Mangione was apprehended in a Pennsylvania McDonald's five days after the shooting. But when asked by defense attorney Marc Agnifilo if he knew whether it was legal to record someone in Pennsylvania without their knowledge, he conceded he did not know.

2 more officers testify on Day 7 of Luigi Mangione's evidence suppression hearing
"I was being guided by legal counsel," Lt. David Leonardi testified.

Mangione, at the station house, requested an attorney and investigators left the room, but the video and audio recording continued, Leonardi said.
When Agnifilo asked if suspects are made aware they are being recorded during interviews done in New York, prosecutors objected and the judge called both sides to the bench.

When Agnifilo returned to the podium he announced, "I understand that the DA is withdrawing these statements so I have no further questions."

Kushner backing away from the Paramount bid for WB. Not good for Ellison...
Whaddya wanna bet someday we find out the offer was a fever dream of fraud and corruption? Talk about a basket of deplorables involved. Tech douches, Disney, this White House, and MBS. Was there no way to throw in a cartel leader?
