BU Terriers 2018-19: Albie in Charge

2nd period issues?!?!?!

Yes mookie. They tend to play poorly in the second period of games, allowing the opposing team to tie, take the lead, etc.

Farabee is starting to turn it on. His goal last night was pretty similar to his goal at Harvard. Needs to work on breakaways. Had two wonderful opportunities last night.

DFP reports Albie hopes to have Krys back in the line-up tonight. He was 50/50 last night.
Another good effort from Crotty.

Hey Scarlet, You get a Saturday trip to Providence! And no snow!! The bad news is there is no way they lose two in a row. :).

Someone needs to perform an intervention on Barbara Greene singing the anthem. No more. (Does she have pictures?)

I was not expecting to come home from dinner to see that score. Wahoo! I was checking the HE standings. BU has played 14 league games. More than any other team in the league. So they’re pretty much going to need to win out the rest of their league games, right?

bobo at 99 career pts now, yes? he could be the last one ever with guys leaving now after 1/2 a season, or maybe sometimes staying 1 :p even eichel couldn't hit a hundred!!

Re: BU Terriers 2018-19: Albie in Charge

since that empty hanger opened, the boys have been awful with home games; but with the next five there and the quality of opponents (6,12,12,1 pwr) a home winning streak would go a long way towards righting the ship here. (and heck, look at the two that follow - neutral site vs #6 and away vs #1).

a penguins'esque turn around :D potentially

Along with Burgess Meredith, my #1 Penguin!

Go Scarlet!

Really there is no good reason the boys don’t finish up the regular season 14-2-0

I don’t care about HockeyEast. I care about the Pairwise.

Well, if the team wins the rest of its league games including the playoffs, it gets an auto-bid (which is pretty much what happened last season). So you should care.

Scarlet’s point was the regular season, not the postseason. If they have a good pairwise they will qualify for HockeyEast playoffs.

I should have been more clear. For home ice in the HE quarterfinals, BU has fewer opportunities to win to ensure they have home ice. This upcoming five-game homestand - three of the the five games are non conference. Should BU win all of those, yeah, it will help them in the PWR but I really don’t think it will help them enough. They’re pretty far down. They need to win the few HE games they have left.

Yikes. Let’s slow our roll people and enjoy improved play.

Onto Quinnipiac.
