Re: BU Season Thread II: The Resurgence

I'm going to introduce a little hockey talk. Everyone okay with that? #Boobies

How does Quinn workout the goalie rotation this weekend? I vote for OC Friday, the Frosh on Saturday, and OC on Monday. OC's gotta get his mojo back. I hope it starts Friday.

I already have a headache thinking about staring at those gold helmets for 3 hours. #HockeyWorldProblems

Re: BU Season Thread II: The Resurgence

Tomorrow night the 1995 national championship team will be honored at the game. I wonder how many members of that team will be there.

Was McKersie officially considered part of that team? He missed the whole season due to his bike accident in the summer, right? I think Noble and Herlofsky split duties. Hopefully local boys O'Sullivan, Grier, Pandolfo, and Bates will be there. Lachance, Thornton, Pendergast, Joubert, Drury, Linna, Brennan, Wood, who were the other d? Was Shane Johnson on the team? Chris Kelleher? Jon Coleman? Might be getting my years mixed up.

You've got six of the seven Ds. The seventh was Jeff Kealty. Full roster for '94-95

As I recall, the d-pairings were Brennan-Johnson, Linna-Coleman, Kelleher-Wood.

I think McKersie was officially part of that team and should be included. Does he live in this area now? I think he does. I'm curious as to whether Chris Drury shows up. Hope so. I'm sure all the locals will be there. Most of them show up to games anyway. You left off Mike Sylvia, who scored, IMHO, the game-winning 4th goal I believe. And I know they won that game 6-2 but I feel that was the nail in the coffin.

Good God it's cold out this morning. I may need to rethink that walk from Kenmore.......

Re: BU Season Thread II: The Resurgence

I'm hearing special jersey's for Autism speaks night on Saturday. Anyone have a sneak peak?

Re: BU Season Thread II: The Resurgence

They're going to auction off the player-worn jerseys to raise money for Autism Speaks. Not sure why they can do that when we can't auction regular player worns of kinds still on the team. Maybe their names won't be on them?

Re: BU Season Thread II: The Resurgence

Too bad we only have one blue chippah :(

A program like bc with 24 blue chips on the roster could raise upwards of 3,000,000,000,000,908.34 for a good cause!

They could auction off regular jerseys of players on the team if they wanted.

I just was watching the highlights from that game. How ironic! :p On that Sylvia goal, Bates bringing it up, I've seen it a hundred times, and every time Bates jukes the Maine guy at the blue line, I can't help it, out loud I go, "OHHH!"

Yeah yeah, back to the present.

Wasn't that an SHG? Wasn't there a brutal cross ice pass by Maine at the BU blueline that led to that goal?

Re: BU Season Thread II: The Resurgence

Just saw an email from the ticket office that the 2/28 game AT Northeastern has been moved to 8pm because NESN is covering it.

Yes, a shorty with 1:13 left in the third. Three power-play goals that day. Sean, do you have the overall PP percentage for that team?

Hearing that 19 team members will be there tonight. Eruzione was an assistant coach that season, but he's almost certainly in Lake Placid for tomorrow's 35th anniversary of the Miracle. Q&A with Joubert, the Terrier from South Bend, now on the blog.
