Other thoughts from catching the game on TV:
- No Olsson - any word on why that changed?
- Did Carrabino have more than 2 shifts? Also seemed like Piccinich had very few shifts. Then again, with the horrendous camera angle that the arena provides, it's really hard to see much of anything (the Fox banner using up the bottom 8th of the screen and the scoreboard the top 5th don't help).
- 1 goal in two games. All of a sudden I am concerned about the talent level at forward. Rodrigues needs to do more. Hohmann expends more energy than anyone, but the results just aren't there. His shot right into the goalies glove when he was all alone in front sort of tells the whole story. I thought Greer looked pretty good - would like to see him get off the 4th line.
- Power Plays were a stark contrast. Merrimack seemed to maintain possession on theirs much better than we did on ours.
- Related - Phelps and MacLeod - might we see one or two of them sit tonight after taking some bad ones? I think Merrimack was good at drawing them, but BU needs to adjust. That second period was rough.
- It needs to be pointed out that Eichel has no points in 3 of the last 4 games. He showed his skill again last night, but it's not showing up in the scoresheet lately. Time to change up the lines? I would consider it, at least against the Mack tonight.
- Seney looked good out there. Hickey (?) shouldn't have given him so much room on that goal.
- O'Connor has been very good this year. Last night was no exception.
Need a W tonight or the outlook for this team may drop a notch.
