He got sick in the fall of his sophomore year and missed a bunch of games, came back from it, played a few games, and then quit immediately after playing in Fenway.

Rumormonger elsewhere, please.

Excuse me Agnes, how does asking a simple question become rumor mongering in your mind?

Even the '09 team took it on the chin at PC. It's not that they all of a sudden have more talent than anyone, but the confidence is extremely high.

it's a couple things....

without a doubt the two best players last year were oconnor and maguire. we saw they could play, and now with a little help in front of them oconnor is set to be a wall this year.
there is a lot less pressure on guys this year who now don't have to play up so much. letting rodriquez and holmann play on the 2nd line instead of the 1st will help them alot. roberto gets to play on the 4th line instead of 1 or 2.
the freshmen are talented, yes. but we now have support spread out. christ, last year duane was getting a ton of pp minutes. just think about that.

oh, and eichel is pretty good.

Re: BU season thread I - 2014-2015

Place deserves to be banged out tomorrow and until further notice. Talented and fun team to watch

Re: BU season thread I - 2014-2015

That was a thorough beat down in every facet of the game.

well......
there are still some areas of concern.

the boys give up too many pp's and don't get enough.
nobody (NOBODY) has a better than 50% faceoff win pct.

the combination of those two will at some point bite them on the ***.

4 Penalties by BU tonight...far from alot...they dominated faceoffs winning them cleanly

Re: BU season thread I - 2014-2015

team stayed in providence last night? even for traffic concerns that seems odd

Re: BU season thread I - 2014-2015

I was thinking the same.

It was odd, but thinking about it, would you rather the team sit on a bus for 2-3 hours then go play, or have time to eat, get to the rink, prepare, stretch, and properly prepare for the game? There are now so few Friday classes at BU, I can't imagine many of them missed class. Based on the results tonight, and how bad the traffic was going down - about two hours leaving Boston at 3-315 - I'm all for it.
