you can always tune into bc games on 850 AM ;)

used to see bu games on channel 68 and of course bu often landed separate tv deals with nesn/csne. i know lowell has a mini package with nesn this year. your new AD has some work to do in the media department!

BU OWNED ch68 back then

Re: BU season thread I - 2014-2015

Game pushed forward to 7:15 due to city traffic and the B line being out of service today (shuttle bus replacements all along Comm Ave).

If you subscribe to the Boston Globe, nice article by John Powers on Jack Eichel in yesterdays' paper.

Re: BU season thread I - 2014-2015

to get a win in what i thought was a crappy game played by the boys is a very good sign.

Mookie, wrong again.

Phenomenal hockey game. Did the young Terriers wilt a bit in the 3rd? Sure. Great effort. Great win. That was the most fun I've had with my pants on in a long time.

outshot.
long stretches of play in own zone not able to get the puck out.
pk needs A LOT of work.
inability to get the puck in the zone when teams clog them up.

they won. so good.

but please let's not all start licking each others popsicles just yet ;)

Re: BU season thread I - 2014-2015

Compared to the last 3 years of ****... I'm licking Popsicles.

JD's all cute and making fun, but this is going to be a fun team to watch all year. Mock me in April if they are Beanpotless and NCAAless, but I'm fired up to see a team that plays an aggressive style of hockey, (anyone miss the pass back to the Dman as he sets up behind the BU net waiting for the ice to dry?) has an infusion of talent, and appears to be playing very well together. Dump and suck* is dead. Long live dump and suck.

PK was rock solid last night. Much better opponent tonight and that 2nd PP goal was a snipe.
Puck out of the zone problems only reared their ugly head in the third. And again, the quality opponent had a lot to do with that.
Not worried about puck entry long term. The skill is there.

Re: BU season thread I - 2014-2015

hey, half the battle is beating teams you should beat. plus, you can only beat who's on the schedule. 3-0 is what it is, a good start. why no macleod tonight? noticed that as i perused the box score.

Re: BU season thread I - 2014-2015

I'm not jazzed about the wins, I'm jazzed about the quality of the hockey. Had they lost tonight, I'd still be bullish about the future and my potential viewing entertainment this season.

MacLeod was out with an injury.

Re: BU season thread I - 2014-2015

Read Scott Wieghart's recap of the game. He starts with a great lede, which he then picks up again midway in the piece.

He quotes 97 year old Red Berensen b****ing and moaning about about the video reviews, mindless (probably the right word) of the fact that the refs on the ice called the BU goals good in the first place. And then Scott quotes Quinn with a couple of smart a** comebacks. Some people last year were complaining the DQ was emotionless. Nice to see his feisty side surface.

Re: BU season thread I - 2014-2015

Not sure if its been posted here. BU is coming down to play Yale at Ingalls next season, same weekend they play Quinnipiac.

Re: BU season thread I - 2014-2015

Mookie is glad bomber is loving his Popsicle now ;)
But I'm waiting to see how the boys do the next 3 games--that'll be the ticket
