I'm jealous of those who have turned the corner. I'm not there yet. I wasn't even motivated to watch playoff hockey last night. #Blackhawks #ColinWilson #AllPredGoalsScoredByFormerHEPlayers #ScottDarling

I haven't turned the corner, I have just moved forward.;) I feel the same way about '90, '91 and '97 as I did at the time, which is BU should have won those games. But '90 and '91 lead to continued success and better things, and I believe this season is likewise the the start of continued success and better things.

I've forgiven, but won't forget (at least for a while). But I'm still happy and proud of what this team accomplished. Much better season than I envisioned.

But it also means expectations for next season have been raised. IF Eichel returns, there's little doubt which team will be the pre-season favorite to win the NC. Even if he turns pro and if 1-2 other early departures occur, I still think next year's BU team should be a contender to return to the FF. Next year's team may be even deeper than this year's.

So last night's banquet officially closes the door on the 2014-2015 season. I was watching the videos and just smiling. What a fun season. And so we look forward to next season. We open October 10 at Union. Hoping to head there for that and to check off another arena that I haven't been to. Wisconsin, Denver and Michigan (2) in the fall.

Any other general thoughts on the banquet, general mood? Were people still somber or was there a general sense of feeling of accomplishment for the season? I heard Denver is at Agganis, what about Wisconsin and Michigan?

All three at home. One each with DU/UW, two with UM. Yale/ QU on the road one weekend, at Union as already posted, Cornell at MSG, Beanpot x 2 should round out the OOC schedule. There's still rumors of a Gillette game vs BC as part of Winter Classic, I assume that'd be a conference game. Very strong and interesting OOC schedule on the docket.

It was a true celebration of an amazing season. Nothing somber about it. Some emotional and heartfelt speeches by players who won awards. Eichel especially, when he went up to get his MVP Award. All the hardware was there. Fun to hear Grizz officially announce he was coming back next season.

Wisconsin and Michigan are coming to Agganis in the Fall. Other than the regular season at Notre Dame, the furthest BU is traveling is NYC for Red Hot Hockey.

Some other thoughts regarding the banquet for those not in attendance. Eichel's speech gave a great perspective of why this team was so successful. He stated
this was the best team he had ever played on because of his teammates and coaches. Something he said he never had before and would really, really miss. I believe these players became very close to one another and developed some strong and special friendships. After watching him speak he is truly a class act, and a ton of credit needs to go to his mom and dad on his upbringing. I have never seen a player with his resume, just from this season, conduct him self with such humbleness, class and true emotion as Eichel. He will certainly be a fan favorite on his NHL team.

I was told BU is hosting DU for 2 games and I also expect the annual Harvard game @Bright-Landry.

Murray the dope Buffalo GM is crying all over TSN and social media about how much it sucks to lose the draft lottery. I hope someone is feeding those comments to Jack...lol.

I have been in the camp that a sophmore season was a pipe dream, but if this mook keeps running his mouth, Jack might come back next year out of spite it in hope Murray loses his job.

He sure is an idiot. I hope Jack stays another year at BU.

Rumor floated around NoCho today that Eichel has decided to return to BU.

Re: BU season thread 4 - 2014-15 // destiny's children

Make sure someone tells the buffalo gm and sabres fans!

I am rooting for eichel to have a better career than mcdavid. With mcdavid landing in black hole of edmonton it at least improves the chance of it happening. Would be a nice statement for college hockey (although is one and done really a good thing for college hockey? That's a whole different issue)

Feel like eichel is being underrated here if that's even possible. The team that should be upset is arizona not buffalo. While i think hanifin will be great, the draft usually centers on these generational type forwards as the league's true franchise players.

Arizona losing out on one of them to edmonton should be the story, not buffalo losing out on mcdavid.

Murray is such a basket case. Bruins' GM should offer him a bag of pucks for that second pick he is so upset about.

Wait...
