Yeah, but I made my point (won't say I got my point "across" because some morons will never "get it")

Get this specific "point" across somewhere else. We're less than 48 hours from an historic game for our program and you and Hoky are discussing things miles off topic.

I wouldn't call it "discussing." That was my intention but apparently some people just relish in this sort of thing. I'd say he should get a life but I fell into the same trap that I told someone else not to...to not engage him. I know it just makes his day. Whatever. He can "win." Time to get back to my life. Why don't you yell at HIM, though?

Hoky just wanted to get in a fight to push the post that stated his identity farther down the thread so no one would see it, IIRC he did similar when it was revealed in the NU thread. I guess he knew you were the easiest to rile up. Talk hockey please.

Hmmm....one post....15 fights with me...doesn't quite match up. Eh?

Re: BU season thread 4 - 2014-15 // destiny's children

Based off of the last several posts, it must be the off-season! And some people thought normalcy would never return....

Does anyone else think chickod was more charming when he was wringing his hands over having to play UNH? ;):D

Was waiting for felgie to chime in. For someone who is a bu grad and loves hockey, he sure doesn't know much about his beloved terriers. I think he knows more about bc than he does bu. Already called him tom o'connor etc

Felger is a feminine cleansing product

Final USCHO poll has PC #1 with 49 first place votes; BU second with 1 fpv. So from the USCHO pre-season poll, BU improved 19 spots from #20 while PC only went up two spots from #3.:D

But we all know the poles don't matter. :)
Bit of a cop out if you ask me, those voters were all like 'oops better put PROVICED #1 before we get kicked out of Hockey Rast!'

Congrats Friars, especially Jon who has been faithfully posting supporting his team as long as I could remember.

Re: BU season thread 4 - 2014-15 // destiny's children

Can we get back to the topic at hand: When do we finally rid Hockey East of the plague that is Notre Dame?

Re: BU season thread 4 - 2014-15 // destiny's children

I was hoping the guy in the notre dame jersey they kept showing on jumbotron would get booed but didn't happen

They cannot complain about the travel if they decided to join HE.

I really enjoyed when the trotted out all time big game chokes. *sigh*

Re: BU season thread 4 - 2014-15 // destiny's children

I would rather listen to an actual feminine cleansing product on the radio than to F**ger. His act is more contrived than the WWE, and as previously noted he doesn't know jack.

Re: BU season thread 4 - 2014-15 // destiny's children

This probably showed up in some stat somwhere, but I was wondering when the last time a Terrier had 26 goals (Eichel's total). To me, 26 doesn't seem like THAT many, not a crazy number. And perhaps it speaks to the fact that BU often seemed to lack a true sniper, but in the USCHO stats, which go back to 99-00, nobody eclipsed that. Jason Lawrence was the closest at 25 in 08-09. Since I know there is no way anyone did in 98-99 (the Albie O'Connell year), it had to have been Chris Drury's 28 his senior year (97-98).

I wonder if Eichel's 45 assists are the most since McEachern had 48 in '90-'91. Sean P?

Re: BU season thread 4 - 2014-15 // destiny's children

After stating back in February Eichel had to step it up, he did just that as he ended the postseason with 8-8-16 in 8 games. That is the third best postseason points total since the start of Hockey East, with only Tony Amonte (10-10-20) and Shawn McEachern (5-13-18) having more points, both in 11 games in 1990. He also is tied for fourth in goals and assists in the postseason since the start of HE.

I also track line combinations for every game since the start of Hockey East and the Rodrigues-Eichel-O'Regan line was the 5th best single season line with 126 points and 6th best overall. Furthermore, O'Regan was Eichel's right wing for all 40 games Eichel played and together their line had 182 points, best ever in a single season by a wide margin (19 points better than McEachern-Amonte in 1990-91) and good for 4th best overall. Finally, Eichel centered the second best Terrier line since the start of Hockey East, with only McEachern's 1990-91 line having more points (192).

Now if he will only return for his sophomore season like Amonte did. :)

Sean
