Does anyone see him as an NHL-caliber player? I think he is a fine college defensive defenseman, but I don't think he was as good as Gryba or Strait. I don't know that he is any better than, say, Sean Sullivan?

Size matters

I think he's a better skater than Gryba (definitely not as good a skater as Strait) and his offensive game is improving. I think he could be a solid 5th/6th NHL D-man on the right team.

Real possibility? Is that a personal thought or based on actual info? Of course if he returned he's a shoo-in for the C.

Couple of reliable sources think so. And, definitely would be captain.

again, no way TB is gonna be leaving macleod here as the 7th or 8th dman on the chart. they will offer him $$ to go play in syracuse or the echl to get legs and see what they have.

Fabbro named BCHL defenseman of the year.

Fabbro leads all BCHL rear-guards in points with 63, despite only playing in 43 games. Fabbro is second in goals (14) and assists (49) but is head and shoulders above any other blue-liner in points per-game average (1.47).

Patrick Harper finished his prep season with 20-39-59 in 27 games and 106 points in two seasons. Scored a highlight reel goal in the prep semifinal, but Avon was upset by Gunnery.

There's word making the rounds that '98 F Patrick Harper will be joining BU next season, as opposed to 2017-18. He's with Avon this season.

If correct, Harper would join Clayton Keller, Kieffer Bellows and Johnny McDermott as forwards in BU's 2016 class.

I was wondering the same thing. Or it could be (hopefully not) because someone isn't coming. Or it could be because he had such a strong year that he wants to come in 2016 and is forcing the issue (See: Kurker, Sam or Greer, AJ). Or maybe the coaching staff felt they needed to bring him in early based on how well he has developed.

or maybe the "word making the rounds" isn't accurate.

Could be that they are letting a guy go like Piccinich this past year too.

Piccinich, like Bracco and Greer, decided it was best for his development to go to the CHL, he just did so in late summer instead of during the season. It is certainly possible a current player decides to do the same thing, but I doubt BU's staff would know about it yet.

Could it possibly be a replacement for Roberto? I thought where that saga left off was that he was suspended for this entire season and that he was eligible to return next year. Maybe they've decided to part ways?
