You guys landed a good one there I think. I caught a Rivers game a few weeks ago and Webber played very well. Good size, skates well, you wouldn't know he was a Freshman until you looked at the program.

All four ’01 defenseman played in last Summer’s USA Hockey Select 15. USHR gave Vlassic, Webber and Doyle “A” ratings and McCarthy an “A+” rating. And all four are likely invitees to the NTDP Evaluation Camp, along with forwards Robert Mastrosimone and Trevor Zegras. Most likely McCarthy and Vlassic are for 2019, Doyle and Webber for 2020. With 8 D recruits lined up for the next four classes, Quinn should be done with Ds for the foreseeable future

Six of the 46 2017 NTDP evaluation camp invitees are BU recruits for 2019 and 2020: Forwards Robert Mastrosimone (SSM) and Trevor Zegras (Avon Old Farms); D's Braden Doyle (Lawrence Academy), Case McCarthy (Jr. Sabres 16U), Alex Vlassic (Chicago Mission 16U) and Cade Webber (Rivers School).

Of the 16 defensemen invited, combined nine are BU, BC and Harvard recruits.

That's a strange conclusion given that there were six BU recruits out of the 45 invitees, including four out 16 defensemen, and the top-rated forward and third-rated D-man according to this ranking. Mastrosimone (#10 forward) was sidelined most of this year with a broken leg after putting up Keller-like numbers (no, he's not the next Keller) at Shattuck. BU could easily have four on the final squad, which is the same number as on the current U17s. We'll see.
