BU Off-Season: Forward to the Past

Re: BU Off-Season: Forward to the Past

was pretty obvious he was leaving when he was not named captain
quality person--Is Farance next?
Unlike other schools everyone rumored is moving on

My understanding is it's not a foregone conclusion Farrance is leaving.

How many times have people posted that they want a player that wants to be at BU? Wants to play in college and achieve big things in college? Proud of and loves the school? And his teammates? That being a Terrier and continuing to improve, is what is most important? The next step will be there, and likely a shorter step.

Well, David Farrance very eloquently said all of those things. An old school Terrier.

He should be given a 'C' for next season!!!

Credit where credit is due to Albie for this.

Or he doesn't want to play for the Preds.... #CynicalFriday

:)

Back to old hockey games. Wacky that BU opened and closed their season with Colgate in 1990. Both one goal games (BU won the opener.). If ever a "series" deserved a rubber match... It also occurred to me that if we were Colgate hockey fans our Google drive of games would have like 5. Yes, we've experienced a lot of heartbreak at the National Level, but better to have loved and lost than to never have loved.

Re: BU Off-Season: Forward to the Past

For the first time in a while I think BU is trending in the right direction. I really like how next years team is built - no one and dones! I am actually optimistic that BU has turned the corner of the last few years and is going back up.

Re: BU Off-Season: Forward to the Past

Good for him, I like to see guys stay and commit to their teammates, their coach and their school. He is a seriously good defenseman. The play he made at the blue line against NU in the first round of the Beanpot was just incredible. Kept the puck in and BU scored with seconds left. If the puck leaves the zone the game is over. Good luck to him but not too much when he plays BC.

If memory serves, the "rubber match" did occur - possibly our home opener the next season where we blew a 5-goal lead? At least 4. And then we blew a 5+ goal lead against Michigan at home a few games later.

Here's a guy with a sharp memory.
