BU-Merrimack 11/13 and 11/14

Re: BU-Merrimack 11/13 and 11/14

Good win, great crowd..

The difference was 100% Cannata. yes, it was 6-3 and they won but score is deceiving. Outshot bigtime in first period and Cannata kept them in it. They were outshot 12-5 and it looked like 20-5. After that, merrimack settled down and took it to BU in 2nd and 3rd. Merrimack is a better team and Cannata is better then the BU golaie.

Re: BU-Merrimack 11/13 and 11/14

Canata was not the reason for Merrimack's win tonight. Overall they were the better team but BU's inability to clear rebounds was the reason they lost. And that they are having a difficult time generating any decent scoring opportunities.

Re: BU-Merrimack 11/13 and 11/14

youre not entirely right..while cannata played well he left loads of rebounds in the slot that bu was incapable of putting home..he barely had to do anything on the 5 on 3s becuase we were too busy playing hot potato with the puck. if you think this game proves millan isnt good you didnt watch the game. our defense was utterly horrendous with guys biting on mack forwards moves and leaving a 3 on 1 or a psuedo breakaway. the goal difference between millan and cannata was 5 to 3 which doesnt really prove anyone is better than the other. the difference in this game was bu not converting again on numerous golden opportunities presented to them then responding terribly to adversity when mack cashed in on their opportunities.

Wow! Mack ain't just winnin', they're rompin'.
That's one helluva championship hangover BU is suffering from.
IMO, Braithwaite is the better Mack goaltender. If he starts at BU, I predict a Mack sweep.

Millan was pulled and for good reason. He gave up 5 goals on 17 shots and now is 2-6 on the season. I watched the game from directly behind the net and he could have and stood have atopped several, especially the one to start the 2nd period. like kickinga beach ball off a cruise liner and trying to hit the ocean. BU carried the play bigtime the first period.

watch for a goalie change on comm ave soon enough. like in tom night

Oh God, are you going to start infecting our threads now?

First off, your response to my post had nothing to do with the post you quoted. I said nothing about Millan. Second, what the hell does "like in tom night" even mean?

Re: BU-Merrimack 11/13 and 11/14

When do we get to begin complaining about BU bringing down our PWR?

If Merrimack wins tomorrow, they might only have 3 or 4 teams below them in Hockey East above them in the rankings. They could also get a few votes to be ranked themselves.

Re: BU-Merrimack 11/13 and 11/14

Millan was pulled and for good reason.

This statement is correct, but the rest is hogwash. There is a good reason he was pulled, and it's because once goalie shouldn't have to endure that many utter defensive collapses and shatter his confidence. We'll see what Parker says on he reasoning behind the decision, but I doubt it had all that much do with Millan's actual play and simply that the game was out of hand on the scoreboard and out of control on the ice.

I would expect to see a "goalie change" soon, from Millan starting every game to a rotation, but that's what was expected no matter what Kieran's stats looked like because Rollheiser was not recruited as a backup.
