BU Hockey '24-'25: Reloaded for another Frozen Four run

Does anyone have a handle on what current players might have eligibility for a 5th yr due to Covid?

Also, thinking about next year, what underclassmen would be expected to leave, and who might decide to stay for another year?
 
There seems to be a number of kids coming in who are highly regarded (mookie counted 3 fr + Sasha on. On mckensie’s first round board on his mid season rankings… late 1st rd but first round).
Any who want to stay may just clog the cupboard 🤷🏾

Anyone remember the Mack goalie who was highly regarded and hokydad was in love with? What became of him? mookie can’t remember his name for the life of him 🤔

I believe this was the last year of an extra year for covid

I think this is the first time they ever celebrated a junior at senior night
Greene is not the first junior to graduate so it was an exception
 
That was fun.

They played with energy and confidence and man, did they snipe.

The triple goalie glass leap was the cherry on the sundae. Even if it almost injured Big Mike

Glad tis game wasn't on a Friday. Who knows how it would have turned out. :)

When Big Mike fell after the goalie leap, my heart stopped for a second. Can you imagine if he hurt himself?? Oy. I was talking with Chewy's mom between periods and she said how when she was introduced she wanted to run down the ice to do the goalie leap. That would have been awesome.

I hope the team realizes that tomorrow's game at UVM isn't meaningless. They need to keep this going, keeping skates on other teams' necks. Plus I have to think a loss could hurt them in the PWR. No looking forward - - other than tomorrow night.

There was a podcast a few weeks ago I think by maybe the Daily Free Press where they had one of the Athletic’s top prospect guys on. I was surprised to hear that he will be surprised if Lachance returns for his junior season. After podcast Edmonton traded him maybe because he’s indicated he wants to return? I forget what the rules are regarding how long a team retains college players rights after being drafted. In the same interview he thought Kaplan should return and Greene he could see go either way. He expects Quinn Hutson to leave. I think he said that Vancouver is really happy w Wilander’s development and will leave it up to him. He said he expects Eiserman to be one of the best players in college hockey next season. I don’t think they discussed Cole Hutson.

IIRC, Matt O’Connor participated in senior night activities during his junior season as he was on track to graduate.
 
Wow. UMass forecheck smothered Maine tonight. Minutemen are peaking at the right time. Terriers need to bury Vermont early.
 
Hopefully a strong finish tonight. Keep the momentum going! Should win this game, but it’s been tough getting back to back good performances lately.

Great win by the women this afternoon! Would be nice if it’s a men/women double title! Only time that was done was 2015.
