BU Hockey '24-'25: Reloaded for another Frozen Four run

We stole a game we didn’t deserve to win. I was at the game - we were passive and careless. The bench looked they were on a trolley ride… no energy or engagement . Jay can’t seem to get them fired up. Parker would have been screaming at them. Yegorov was amazingly good. He will be our ticket if we go deep.

We should be able to beat UConn if we decide to skate and pressure the puck. And we could also take Maine or NU. The HE Championship is in reach. A fired up BU can win it.

Email to season ticket holders went out an hour ago. Just ordered mine. And you have to purchase both nights. Did we do that last year? We may have.

I think it’s always been a full package thing… kind of annoying but I’d get why they do it that way. I haven’t seen my email yet - will have to email the ticket office tomorrow.

Ran some scenarios, and it looks like if we win HE Tournament, we’re a 1 seed (either 3 or 4 overall depending on certain results). If not, we’re a 2 somewhere. Have a feeling either way, we probably play Penn State in Allentown - and Maine could be involved as well. I don’t like either of those possibilities.

Yah that’s what I’m seeing too. Both BU and Maine can get 1s if the NCHC gets shaken up and BU wins out. Otherwise we’re a two. Weirdly I can land Maine in 3 or 5 as much as 4.

Well, let's just worry about what BU does. We do know BU is going to the tournament and will most likely get seeded into a regional nowhere near Boston. Are there any teams you guys do NOT want to face?

I actually disagree with this. There were definitely pockets of dread. Mostly the third period. But I thought the first period was pretty competitive. I think overturning Quinn Hutson's goal at the end of the second fired UMass up.

One thing I did notice, however, was the glacial line changes. There were a few times UMass was all alone on the ice because BU was taking their sweet time changing up. What was up with that?

Incorrect- was able to order just thursday night thru the BU site

I reread the email I got yesterday. I have two tickets at Agganis so they put two tickets in my account and it was for both nights. Then I heard from a couple of people that got the email today and they were allowed to just buy for Thursday.

I'm of a mind they could be blown off the ice by anyone in the field and they could handle anyone in the field if they play their game. This really is an either/or team.

That said, if they're a 2 seed, I'd not want to see Qpac. Umass is also peaking, and dangerous but we'd not see them in a first round matchup unless the committee opts to break it's 'no conference match ups in the first round' thing as there are SIX HEA teams going (and perhaps THREE with 1 seeds if things fall in such a way).

If we're a 1 seed and get a non conference opponent (see above) then Michigan is someone I'd rather avoid because they tend to show up for the tourney when they get in. But it's likely we'd get Penn State as a host in Allentown. I think we could still handle them fairly well.

Albeit, the first line of this still stands.
