I agree with you...most people (except BU fans) will be cheering against us. If DC was any example...and even in BOSTON in 2015 there were more people cheering for Providence.

Another BC fan here that will be strongly cheering you on in this year's Frozen 4. I too cheered on Providence that year and probably would cheer on any Hockey East school against BU in the NCAA's just as I suspect BU fans would do against BC. Playing Providence in Boston, BU was a formidable favorite and thus had a target on their back so other fans joined in against BU while in Tampa BU has to be considered the underdog although being the 5th seed really is not an underdog at all. Keep in mind that North Dakota brings as many fans as anyone and their dislike for Minnesota should be a big plus for BU too.

So does Minnesota have it's own Fan Forum somewhere else? With all the passion for hockey, there are basically no threads to be found (the "Gophers" thread isn't much). I know "stateofhockey" or whatever his handle is posts, but it seems no other Gopher fans do.

So it sounds like Zabaneh is probable but Skoog is questionable. There is only so many injuries this team can take and still find a way to win...hope Skoog is able to give it a go.

Just watched the Minnesota press conference. Bob Motzko advertised us as the clear favorites! Obviously wants his team to believe they will have to work very hard to win. But really?

The Gopher Hobey arrogance has me almost rooting for you. Almost. Most of them seem entirely dismissive of what Lane Hutson did this year because Matthew Knies is a good forechecker.

You know it's ok for fans to support their team without it being a slight on others. I've see 10x the amount of hate towards Knies than anything else and I bet 99% of them have never seen Knies play.

Hutson was absolutely worthy of being in the Hobey 3, but Knies isn't a bar league has been.

Should be a great hockey game and I am sure the team and coaches are taking BU very seriously.

As an NU fan, I'll echo that thought and will be pulling for the ratdogs just as I did for them in 2009 and for BC when they made it to the FF. At some point, you just have to close ranks behind whichever team represents the league on the big stage.

He may be a good coach but he stinks at sandbagging. Such a stupid quote from him. He could have made a similar statement in a more creative way. Unless he said it tongue in cheek? And I would respect that if he did. I can't believe no one at the press conference burst out laughing and said "Oh wait - were you serious?"

Was just coming here to post that! Love love love that they got Jacques Joubert to narrate!

Getting increasingly nervous. Glad we have the early game.
