BU Dog Pound members here in Arizona are chanting “Where’s your Beanpot?” To ASU goalie TJ Semp-long last name.

Good to see Robert Mastrosimone. Got a loud response from BU fans.

As I write this uscho has air force winning the game 5-1
They then recalculate the pairwise and we drop to 10th
Just shows the importance of winning games against lowest ranked teams

Looking at the scoreboard it looks like a few teams didn’t get the memo. I’m looking at you Merrimack and Providence.

Call me un-informed but why do the World Juniors have an elaborate ceremony after a “semi” final game. Canada celebrating like they won the championship both teams on
the ice calling out all-tournament players. Winners anthem played. Kind of cool but seemed odd. Did Hutson play much during the tournament I didn’t hear his name .

- I think the Canada celebration was big because it was a big comeback win, playing in front of the home crowd, etc.
- They name a player of the game for each team after every game.
- They play the winners anthem every game.
- They name the top three players for the tourney for each team when it is either the last game for that team, or if possible, when it is known that the next game will be the last game for the team. So they named the top three for all four semifinal teams after the semifinals. I guess maybe it is so that on the next day at the medal games the proceedings won't take as long?

Solid win over Air Force. Didn't quite turn into "point night" the way it seemed like it would after Armstrong's goal 20 seconds in.
- Kudos to "don't call me Rocky" Balboa, making his first start in net - he was the main reason it didn't turn into point night.
- I really hope Armstrong isn't out too long. He is having a very nice senior year, and scored a goal in front of his dad last night (presumably given that he is the Coyotes GM).
- Nice to see Skoog keep the hot hand.
- Was also surprised to see Lane Hutson in the lineup. JP commented after that he loves playing, loves his teammates, so I am guessing the team gave him the option to rest and he declined.

Tough game tonight. Winning these OOC games is important, so I hope they can get it done.

Soooo, they didn’t drop to 10 in the pair wise? I was a mistake because USCHO had BU losing to Air Force?

Today’s championship game is the first game because ASU wanted to play the second game both nights. I’m hoping that whoever wins the first game doesn’t have to wait to get whatever trophy (assuming there is one) till after the ASU game.

Hoping BU keeps their tempers in check. I watched the first period of the MTU ASU game and they’re big, strong, older, and kinda chippy. One player pushed Mastrosimone into the MTU bench. Just railroaded him in there. I’m concerned with unnecessary retaliatory penalties.

I would add: Nice next-man-up effort by Carrabes, getting a goal and an assist. Even if OB is back tonight, I hope he stays in the line-up.

BU is now fourth in scoring in D1 with a 3.9 GPG. That's with a total of five goals from O'Brien, Phillips, Peterson and Gallagher. Fortunately all three guys on the fourth line have three goals.

Thought to win being down 3 after a period, as well as not winning battle along the boards. Oh well. On to Wednesday

I thought we played well, especially early. It was inexplicable we were down 3-0 after 1. Won the 2nd and 3rd. Hate to see that. Brown just missed on the doorstep late. Temporarily costly in the PWR. Hopefully we can get a 5 or 6 game win streak together coming home. But I guess let’s not get ahead of ourselves- 1 at a time, right?

Not a good trend in losing arguably their two biggest games of the season. This one and the BC game. Commesso has been questionable in both. He needed to bail out his team in the first and didn’t look great especially with the third goal flopping. At this point of the season they don’t have a signature win yet and I think BC has surpassed them how they are playing and they have the most dangerous player in
the league in Gauthier.
