Wasn't he there for nearly 20 years? Seems long enough.
Yup 1995-2013 I believe

It sounds like the issue is that they want Pandolfo but Pandolfo doesn't want the job. They're just wasting time, hoping he'll change his mind. Obviously we don't want to hire a guy who doesn't really want the job so why the hell are they sitting around wasting time on this plan?
Too bad about David Quinn - sounds like maybe he thinks more of himself than the NHL world does. Not sure he did anything with the Rangers or the Olympic team to earn another head coaching job, but I guess his dream has changed over the past four years.
Looks like we should've fired Albie back when Hynes wanted the job. The decision to hire Albie is going to end up costing us more than just these past four years, unfortunately.
Pereira would make me nervous. He seems so young to be head coach of a program like BU. Freddy Meyer, Amonte - lots of good assistant coach options but nobody that really makes me excited as a head coach.
How old is the Denver coach? Isn't he younger than Joe? He looks like he's 16.And he just won an NCAA title. I know Joe looks young but he's at a good age to take over a program.

To put a pin in the previous Eric Lang talk, he was never a candidate and that has nothing to do with BU. He would not be a candidate at BC either. Geography. Look for him as a candidate at UConn if Cav indeed goes to BC. But prying Lang out of his current home ain't happening.
He turned down another close-by job recently that would've massively increased his salary.
Would love to know more background on your comments. Can you fill in since I would think Lang a logical choice after having won his last four league championships.
It is starting to feel like they are floundering. Not a glowing review of BU’s situation in the CHN article.
I know Adam hates BU, but what did you think about him calling the BC job the most desirable opening? I always think of BU/BC on the same level with BU's facilities getting the nod over BC, but BC's support of athletics getting the nod over BU. #Wash.
BU Hockey: Slipping Into Irrelevancy?
Usually you get some actual reporting on candidates. Haven't heard really anything on the BU search. Not saying that's good or bad. Just a bit unusual.

Trying to think of what nearby programs to AIC have an opening (unless he meant last year)...Union? But I can't see Union paying top dollar. Who knows. I highly doubt Eric Lang is content staying at AIC the rest of his career even if it is his alma mater.
FWIW, Chris Peters said on his Talking Hockey Sense podcast (released last night) that "all signs are pointing to the job being Jay Pandolfo's if he wants it, and the fact that that hasn't moved that quickly is interesting to me." Doesn't think it'll be DQ or any current alumni NHL coaches.
Not sure if it's news but I'd imagine he has good sources.
