Are they serious with these American Sports Network clowns? JFK didn't make the USA World Junior team so he stayed back to help the Terriers beat Union.

Nice sweep. Stingy on D.

How about the pre game love affair with Bellows putting up graphs about his point production % of BU's offense...seriously?..i would say more stingy in the net...way to many odd man rushes

ASN screwed up the Hockey East standings after the game too showing BU was still in 4th (they are in 2nd).

For those of us who thought the poor attendance at Frozen Fenway would be the nail in the coffin, Joe Bertagna is in the comment section of the TMQ USCHO article saying they plan on doing it again.

And you are surprised why? As I mentioned somewhere else (maybe in the UNH thread), they are "established" now. They don't care about the fans anymore. They don't even NEED us anymore. Who cares what the "experience" is like for us? They've sold the advertising. Did you see the boards, the wall, the ice and the field plastered with ads? All the TV spots were sold. They have turned this into a carnival with all sorts of peripheral events, no doubt that are sponsored as well. To "everyone" else besides those of us for whom the novelty wore off (in my case, after the first one), it's a fantastic thing. It's not going away. Period.

Just an extra winter weekend to go skiing and not worry about missing a game that I care about!

Even the UConn fans on the board I frequent who went for the first time this weekend said they wouldn't go back again.

Re: BU 2016-17 Season Thread I: The Kids are Alright

BU is looking strong once again with a weekend sweep of BC. Who here thinks that they don't have a legit shot at another title? Their early losses to Denver seem like a distant memory, and their top young guys like Harper and Bellows haven't even gone nuts yet. They don't have many of the top scorers in the NCAAs, which tells me they have a ton of depth.

Also, does anyone have any updates re: new recruits. How is Quinn going to restock?

Oettinger is a beast. Kid has NHL written on his forehead. I can't wait to see what happens in the Big East tourney/Frozen 4. I think they're the best team east of the Mississippi, and potentially the best in the country.

Big east hoops is actually pretty good! Has BU ever considered joining?

Quinn already has restocked. The Terrier Fan blog is the best place to go to learn about the recruits (see Rogie's signature for the link, most easily found on the BU Recruit thread). Both of the next two classes are looking like Top-5 in the country with names like Bowers, Farrance, Wise and Farrabee (among others). Technically, I think Farrabee may be 2019, but I don't see that sticking, given that he is the best player on the U17s right now).

I'd say Harper already had his "Go Nuts" phase (5 goals in his first exhibition game, led the team in scoring through the first half of the season). I think he may actually slow down. And while I am hopeful that Bellows will catch fire, and actually think he will, there is definitely a level of concern over what his top end potential really is.

This team will go as far as the big three sophomores take them (McAvoy, Greenway, JFK).

Virtually a Catholic conference at this point. Always thought BU would be a good fit for the A-10. BU's move to the Patriot League was a parallel move, at least competitively.
