Will they still have the problem of selling beer at 8.08 or whatever it was ? Takes forever to get a beer and get back to your seat on time for the game during intermission.

Wasted a lot of time fumbling for change because the beer should have been charged an even amount that is easy like 8.00 or 8.50 to facilitate the transaction. Usually now I don't even bother because it takes too long and not time enough to hit the restroom too.

Last year (or maybe 2 years ago) they brought the beer to an even $8.

Just ordered my e-tickets for the January 16th game but $15 in fees for $50 tickets ( TM sucks

Sometime last year it seemed like the concessions was instructed to start rounding down (although I think the official price was still $8.03)

You need to go to the big rest room behind section 118. No lines! You will make it back in time!

Boston Hockey Blog is reporting that Quinn has O'Regan centering Oksanen and Greenway on the first line and I've heard that the second has JFK centering Baillargeon and Greer. Not a bad top six.

Gotta like the idea of putting a kid like Greenway, whom ISS rated as the 6th best freshman, together with arguably the two most skilled forwards. Also liking playmaker JFK between Greer and Baillargeon, who spent much time this summer working with "shot doctor" Glen Tucker.

Is NBCSN not doing any games this year

Acadia is 3-0, finished 3rd in Canada last year and had wins against Northeastern and Quinnipiac.

Gryz is still recovering from surgery after the end of last season. Expected to miss about a month. Fortunato was a scratch, presumably to see both McAvoy and Switzer. Same with Roberto at forward.

Went to the game and I have to say I am a fan of the 4PM start. An easy in and out and home at a reasonable hour. Some of the gang I was with went to eat post game, which works out well. I think people will end up liking the early starts.

Happy to see the Kayem product take the place of Nathans… and my hot dog was actually hot! The fresh chopped onions remain.

Ice Girls?!?!

Didn't get a beer so I can neither confirm nor deny the nice round $8.00 price.

Overall I thought the team looked decent against what I think was a better than average Canadian team. Greenway looked huge. Forsbackka (spelling?) looked like he has some skills. Maquire looked pretty sharp in net I thought…. hopefully he hasn't missed a beat with his year off / mystery medical redshirt thing.

I saw the second half of the game on the stream, so though to get clear views of what players are doing. Some quick thoughts:

- Carpenter looked like he was all over the place (in a good way).
- Obviously, JFK impressed. His PS goal looked like that USHL highlight that was going around last year.
- Nice to see Switzer make a case for being more than just the last guy on the depth chart.
- Acadia was certainly a better looking team than last years "Tommies".
- Whoever did the play by play on the stream: 1) it's Oksanen, not Oskanen. And 2) it's an exhibition game, not an expedition game (made both these errors multiple times)

I really liked the Lane/Olsson/Carpenter line. They had some chemistry. Greenway is, like, 11 ft tall.
