While we all knew this...I see the NHL winter classic is officially at Gilette. Here is to hoping they do not add college games (at least none that involve BU).

I'm guessing with the potential patriots playoff schedule that time won't permit additional games, but who knows?

According to a guy I met that works at Gillette, there are no plans other than the Winter Classic.

Actually I went back to see Rogie's post on the other thread and I guess I read too fast. He posted it was being talked about and by no means official. Though it would be the smart move. Hey - maybe we can get Joe Pereira from UConn!!

Scott young will be ten times the coach he would have been. Total class act, character guy, did great job at St Marks judging and developing talent and will have instant credibility with advisors, family's and junior coaches
Great pick up/addition
Very loyal to BU as well

defkit was referring to the Director of Hockey Operations position which Hasanen held before Young. There are plenty of good candidates for the DHO job. Couldn't agree more about Scott Young. I'd imagine he'll be the only recruiter introducing himself to families while wearing a pair of Stanley Cup rings.

This weekend is the 14th Annual Travis Roy Wiffle Ball Tournament. Coach Parker threw out the first pitch today. Check out the news story. One of these days I will make it up there. My cousin plays on one of teams. They won it all a few years ago.

we certainly get it. BC had great football and basketball rivalries and while the move to the ACC was the right thing to do all you can do is lament about what used to be......namely, more fun
