Probably wise not to bring BC over. (This is not trolling at all, I swear.) Sport in NI is very political and very sectarian. Hockey is a notable exception to that broad trend, and the Belfast Giants try very hard to maintain that ideal. Things are better over there, but have been tense lately. Bringing the famously Jesuit, very Boston Irish institution in to play a hockey tournament in Belfast could be a problem.

So, no BC prolly also means no BU. Maybe if they make this a recurring event it will not be a big deal to send the Eagles over.

Too bad. That would be a good road trip.

mookie has ~30 bu media guides from various seasons. (and yes mookie is still po'ed that bu stopped making these :mad: )

BU will be at Madison Square Garden that weekend for Red Hot Hockey do they couldn't go.

Santini was named an alternate captain for next season, but as we know--Brian Strait--that doesn't guarantee anything.

Hobey Hat Trick announced: Eichel, McIntyre and Vesey. Sets up a nice story line for next Thursday.

Blame the NCAA, it's their policy.

I have about 45-50 BU media guides (some of the early ones from the fifties are just stapled together sheets of paper. I'm missing 2 from the early eighties, but otherwise have a complete run from 1965-66 through 2009-10. I also have several game programs from the thirties. Newspapers are critical for that time period.

I also have every game sheet since the start of Hockey East and about ten other seasons from 1961-62.

Deadspin is asking, if you could change the outcome of one play, which would it be?

Just took a moment to settle on Shawn McEachern's double post in the third overtime of BU's 8-7 loss to Northern Michigan in the 1991 title game. But on reflection, I'd change that to Travis Roy's first shift as a Terrier.

Agreed on Travis, but if I could change one play from that '91 game - I would have added two seconds to the clock in regulation so that Amonte would have been able to deke Billy Pye and score to cap off the most incredible comeback in title game history (even more incredible than 2009).

Watch the video. Did he in fact have enough time? Pye was way out of the crease.
