From what I understand if you don't have a lot of points, don't bother. Each team only gets 400 tickets. My group went Stubhub last night, it's $350-400 for the weekend, but with face value at just over $250 for the weekend, that's not a steep increase.

what is "very high" according to your friend? (and it's a good question because NOBODY KNOWS what is high or low)

He didn't know. The wild card is, as it was in 09, how much is the administration going to skim off the top for themselves. I'm fairly certain there won't even be any tickets available for students.

Was he talking "planned giving / I left my entire massive estate to BU" high? Or "longtime season ticket holder who consistently makes a decent donation to the athletic department (but the type that the average man can afford)" high?

I'm surprised that each school would only get alloted 400 tickets.

err... that was a typeo, they get 600. not much better. and I dont know which category from the two, I really dont even know how the TLP system works, nor do I care. only time it comes into play is for FF tickets, and I know to get them elsewhere instead of relying on BU.

Also, I would assume season ticket holders filled out/ordered playoff tickets back in late February.

I'm surprised at even just 600… seems pretty stingy on NCAA's part… but that should not surprise me. No doubt that by the time players tickets get allotted and administration skims, there won't be much left.

I put my request in just before the deadline which was sometime last week.

From what I understand, when you filled out that order form through BU is irrelevant, it's only if you have enough points. Yeah, 600 is pretty cheap, 400 in loge, 200 in balcony from what I've read.

Thats what I was told. Either your request was in before the deadline or not… didn't matter if it was 30 days or 3 minutes before the deadline… would just be based on points.

Question for frozen four regulars… when did the semifinals become both games on one ticket? ( Or has it actually always been that way)? My memory from the last time I went to the FF semifinals (the last time it was in Boston) is that the semis were separate admission tickets and they cleared the arena between games….

It has been a few years but not that many. Might need to go down and find my old stubs.

Not a fan of this setup to be honest. Late game can go to midnight easily as it basically did last yr and almost worse with OT seconds away. More annoying if you need to dump tix and can go to only one semifinal.

Just dug out all my ticket stubs and Brian is right. 2006 was the last year of the three sessions.
