BU 2013-2014: Ready to Quinn

Re: BU 2013-2014: Ready to Quinn

If that's the case then it's disgusting. I just don't get the appeal of playing at Fenway every year. The first BU-BC game was really special but after I did that I knew I wouldn't go back. Could hardly see, it was very cold (beer formed a slush!), and it was way too expensive.

Also, why on Earth would BC-ND FOOTBALL want to play there instead of at Chestnut Hill or South Bend? Again...better sight lines, better capacities, no tailgating at Fenway...I could go on and on. Besides...I think college teams should play on campus. It's part of the experience.

It's hard enough to watch a baseball game at Fenway...let alone hockey or football.

I just don't get it.

Unfortunately it's all about the $$$$. Until the event is no longer profitable, coaches/ADs vocally oppose, or a significant player injury occurs b/c of ice conditions, I suspect this won't be the last Frozen Fenway.

i can see it now, they won't stop until every possible hockey east match up has been played there.

also, at least this time around, keep in mind it wasn't the surface from the winter classic that was still up. this was obviously independent of that and probably not nearly the quality they had at michigan stadium.

There's also been a fair amount of ECAC action...

So based on the way things are going this year...semester break....weeknight....nobody's sleeping in tents waiting for a ticket for tonight. Anyone hazard a guess on attendance tonight?

Re: BU 2013-2014: Ready to Quinn

When Mookie is in the garden or agganis or conte he takes his coat off. Temps are rather pleasant inside.

The rain is going to be a problem Saturday, not temps

Has anyone heard anything about a possible rescheduling of the game? The weather for both Saturday and Sunday is looking disastrous for an outdoor game. Friday doesn't look terribly bad, mid-30s with a few flurries.

I heard some initial rumors about the game being in Sunday... But that was before rain was in the forecast for Sunday too... I imagine as it gets closer they will make any call if needed.

I don't know how much rain would create issues for the ice.... But even a tiny bit of rain will make it miserable for the fans.

I imagine rain, combined with the warmer weather would create major issues, since at 50 degrees, there's no chance of it freezing on contact, making for potentially large puddles and uneven ice anywhere. =That would drastically affect gameplay, much less create major safety concerns. Sunday looks just as bad, the only logical reschedule would be Friday, or just nixing it altogether and moving it to a campus site.

Re: BU 2013-2014: Ready to Quinn

Should of done a doubleheader with the Women's team at WBA for an OLD SCHOOL night!

Honestly, that would've been an insanely good idea, and likely would've sold extra tickets. There's no way 3,806 will be in Agganis tonight. Anything above 3,000 would be a miracle.

ABSOLUTELY. Hell, I would have made the trip up from CT for that. WBA's metal roof makes that place LOUD, even for women's games.

Ugh. You guys are so bad right now it just doesn't even feel right to rub it in. How did they get this freaking bad? I have never even heard of 2 guys in your lineup tonight.
