Saw the THFB post. So Olsson is a forward who played a year in the USHL after playing two seasons in Ann Arbor, and he only had 3 goals in 34 games. Is he a 4th liner/banger? Those aren't exactly scorer-type numbers.
Actually, he played two seasons with Sioux City. Had 10-6-16 in 41 games the first season. He was injured much of last season. Already 20, Olsson should provide experience, size and muscle for the fourth line. He's the only freshman who has already scored a goal at Agganis. http://www.hockeyeastonline.com/men/boxes12.php?mbu_u181.j08

I wonder if UNH will get their own task force with the recent happenings.

I'm wondering if Umile will finally see the writing on the wall. Not sure why that guy has the job security that he does. He must have pictures of the university president with a goat or something.

Interesting - I hadn't heard rumors of this happening, but I keep going back to when my brother in law who goes to many St. Sebastians games expressed surprise that McAfee was going to a program of BU's caliber. I wish Dalton the best wherever he goes. But I do have to say it is clear to me that the talent level on the team is clearly improving, and it was pretty darn low last year (no surprise I know).

Agreed that the talent level appears to be rising fairly quick. It's clear that the sudden defections over the recent years forced Parker to fill spots at the last second with, let's be fair, players below the standard for the BU program. Dalton's not exactly the shining example of this, but by the end of last year it was apparent his play was not at the level of most Hockey East teams. Hopefully he's able to succeed in his next step - wasn't he recruited to play lacrosse at Notre Dame?

Without MacAfee, BU has just one right-shot defenseman, freshman Johnathan MacLeod, unless you count swingman TJ Ryan. At last month's annual Terrier Fan Summer Roundtable, David Quinn pointed out that both Brandon Hickey and Brandon Fortunato--both left shots--were very comfortable on the right side and, in fact preferred it.

David Quinn: ten questions.

Can't recall if this has been mentioned, but why isn't McGuire listed on the roster? I know he is injured or whatever (do we know why he isn't playing) and won't play this year, but Carrabino was listed on last year's roster despite being a redshirt. Is McGuire expected to play for BU in 2015-16?

Also, the four freshman who were recently announced because they didn't sign a letter of intent in the spring, does that mean they aren't scholarship players? If so, Fortunato was leading D-scorer on US U-18 team and he isn't a scholarship player?

No. Anyone from the original group this spring is guaranteed to be getting some moeny freshman year, somewhere between $1 and a full ride. But that doesn't mean the people who didn't are getting no money, it just means BU and them hadn't reached an agreement in writing at that time, it is possible that they are getting no money freshman year (they could have agreed to pay the first 1 or 2 years and get the next 2 or 3 years covered by the scholarship), but in Fortunato's (not committed to BU at the original LOI date) or Greer's (in the process of accelerating) cases it is far more likely they just reached a final agreement during the summer.

Haven't seen any emails on this but the order form for the WBA game is under Season Ticket Holder Resources on Agganis website. Due back by 9/19. No charge and indicates they will try to put you in your old seats.

Also Beanpot request form available in Account Manager along with ability to order away tix. $1 charge per game to mail and $2 charge for each order which can include multiple games.

Let's just hope that the price of beer is not raised a dollar, making it $9.10! :D

Though it might be easier to carry a few dimes than a bunch of pennies.... ;)

The $1 to mail them charge seems fine because they still offer you will call for free. The $2 per order charge doesn't make any sense to me since if we call them it's a more labor intensive process for them and there is no fee for us.

Awesome turnaround for the Terriers. Let's see if they can keep going through October.

Well it looks like they should have a pretty good chance at making it through October without losing a Hockey East game at home. So that's something.
