Sean has a good point

It would be nice to get those Ws earlier in the yr.

Re: BU 2013-2014 (Part III): Close your eyes, we're coming up on the end here...

Furthermore, over the last 5 seasons only two other teams, UMass Lowell and Vermont, have played each other 3 times, with the remaining teams not playing any other team more than twice. So there really is no valid reason for BU and NU to always play each other at the end ot the regular season. I hope that in the future BU will play BC again at the end of the regular season, as well as other Hockey East teams

If BU and NU are the only teams playing during the final weekend with this frequency I'm going to assume the two schools have asked HE to schedule them this way, otherwise I don't know why they would have kept doing it while switching up everyone else. If my assumption is correct you may not get your wish as soon as you would like.

For what it is worth, I noticed that the Hockey East Schedule really didn't change much from year to year over the past several years. (except for last season when we went to 20 league games) I'm not sure if that was at BU's request, or if the easiest thing for the people creating the schedule to do was to just dust off the previous years schedule, tweak it as needed and then send it out again. Remember when it all of a sudden became a "tradition" for us to play BC on the first weekend of December?

Personally I"d like to see the schedule varied more from year to year as far as when we play people.

So according to some of the schedule leaks, looks like BC is @ BU while the kids are on break?

That sucks.

Your post that all of the confirmed dates in HE are of the same pattern as of last year (same w BC's so far) + hearing simliar things from BC's end of the game being on MLK weekend + BU's academic calendar: http://www.bu.edu/reg/files/2014/05/2014-2015-Academic-Calendar.pdf

By no means confirmed but looking that way and if true, sucks.

Ok, just wondering if there was anything more official.

Really sucks if it turns out that way, I know teams have flexibility to adjust their HE schedule from the league based on previous offseason articles, and I assume (hope?) BU would try to move the game. Incoming freshmen will have a much different experience than any class in recent memory (ever, Sean?) if they don't get a BC home game, it's usually a game that gets plenty of them out to their first game and then they keep coming back for the games and seasons that follow.

That is not true, at least from NU's side. This "streak" should end after this season.

I would never want a BU-BC game during a break home or away. Hopefully they can bump it to a later date when the students are back. Switch it with literally any other game.

Sorry, but we're supposed to take whatever BU gives us and not utter a peep! Anything less than that would be disloyal.

Figuring out the fall portion is a bit harder as there are more individual games than weekend series with a single opponent, but I think you can at least pencil in a Merrimack home and home the weekend before RPI, the PC home and home over halloween weekend, and at BC for one game the weekend after that.

We can add:

Colgate is Nov 29th

So, who's going to the athletic department's soiree at Tia's on June 16th? I'll be there to give Quinn a few coaching tips and I may bring up the price of beer at the arena since we'll be in a bar...

If you're going to complain about the price of beer at games doing it while drinking in a bar with $7 Bud Lights doesn't seem to be the best way to prove your point.

Tia's? That might be the single worst restaurant in the city.

Are people over 30 allowed at Tia's?

They let me in last year, although I do look younger than I am. :D

I usually have people buy the drinks for me before I duck out.....;)
