Hmmm....So you knew Sean from his playing days....Well let me tell you, that I've spoken to Sean many a times and have also spoken to several of his former team mates. He is a standup and loyal person who will do anything for his team mates or his family. Sure he is rough around the edges, but both his heart and his philosophy are in the right place......He was even the coach of a current head coach in womens D1.....He had at least three five year stints as a director of scouting with three different NHL teams. In that business it is pretty common for people to move around....When you talk hockey with him you know he has a great nose for talent, and IMHO he has done a marvelous job recruiting some good talent onto a struggling team that many prospective recruits won't consider as an option......As some people may know, his family is going though a very difficult time with health issues and as far as I'm concerned he and his family should get all the support they need at this time....So Sean if you read this, good luck over the next few months, and the thoughts of many in the hockey world are with you and your family....God Bless....OnMAA
Coady had a pretty bad reputation during his playing days at UNH. He was often involved in rage-filled rants and assaults on other players. He was unable to control his temper and that followed him into his coaching career, which is why he has not been able to obtain and maintain steady employment. Other than that, he has quite the resume.
