Re: Bring Out Your Dead (Part Whatever v2.0)

The old man of Easy Company is gone.

Ed Mauser of Omaha, the oldest surviving member of the 101st Airborne Division's famed Band of Brothers unit in Europe during World War II, died at his home Friday. He was 94.

Mauser, who parachuted into France on D-Day and fought across Europe, was diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer in late December.

“It was a long trip, but everything comes to an end,” he said in a recent interview.

Edward “Babe” Heffron of South Philadelphia, Pa., an Easy Company veteran, said he was saddened by Mauser's death.

“It's a shame,” Heffron said. “Ed was a good soldier. He went through his share of hell.”
Mauser's death leaves 35 known living veterans of famed Easy Company.

To bring you up to speed, The Office has sucked for the last 2.5 years and My Name is Earl sucked since Season 2 started. How I Met Your Mother started sucking midway through last year. All the other sitcoms have always sucked except Community which sucked for the first half of the first season but has ruled TV ever since.

So, you didn't miss much.

Is Community the show with Joel McHale?

And is Parks & Recreation still on the air? Boy that was terrible.

Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor has been released from the hospital eight days after she had her right leg amputated, her spokesman said Saturday.

Gabor's release from the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles came more than a week ahead of schedule, said her publicist, John Blanchette, who added that doctors were pleased with her progress.

The 93-year-old star of 1950s films "Moulin Rouge" and "Lili," had her leg amputated on Jan. 14 because of a gangrene infection after hip replacement surgery in July.

Blanchette said Gabor's husband, Frederic Prinz von Anhalt, reported that "she has been feisty, yelling at nurses and at him. Everything is back to normal."

Zsa Zsa back in the hospital. This time, bleeding from the mouth. I think it's time for her doctors to realize they aren't extending her life, they're prolonging her death. And they should let her go.

From reports on TV-she is not recognizing people close to her. Could be time to stop doing heroic things.
