Re: Bracketology

har. it went live with this years pairings but last years results.

Lowell has won the BU/Maine game!

Might be a browser glitch here though...

oh hey, i had to use the 'start over' link at the top....how weird that it would remember last year's picks.

Re: Bracketology

For those of you concerned about potential upsets in tournament play... these teams would be considered upset champions that would almost certainly displace a team hoping for an at-large bid.

ECAC: Anyone but Cornell.
CCHA: Michigan.
Hockey East: Boston University or Maine.

No potential upsets in the WCHA (all 5 teams would be in the tournament anyway if they were to win the title), and the Atlantic Hockey champion will displace the #15 team in the Pairwise regardless of who it is.

Is there a scenario in which Bemidji State could still end up in the St. Paul regional?

Re: Bracketology

Most scenarios so far have Yale, Vermont, Alaska and New Hampshire all getting in. NMU should get in.

UMD will fall out if they lose to either UND or Denver.

Re: Bracketology

I was trying to come up with a way for BU to get in losing in the championship and can't quite get them there.

The highest I can get BU is 15th. With Bemidji losing and UAH earning that autobid, BU can only make the tournament if they win the whole thing.

Likely if BU wins, that pushes UNH out, so its quite possible only 2 HE teams make it anyways.

What an awful year for HE.:(

BSU's placement is a function of their top seed. Finish #6 in Wisconsin's bracket, then yes. Finish in Miami's bracket, no.

NO I RAN IT WITH BU WINNING , PUSHED UNH TO 8TH , GO FIGURE . I REALY DO THINK YOU GUYS WILL WIN ...

Re: Bracketology

Has anyone found a scenario that would get Michigan a #3 seed if they win the CCHA tourney? All I can find keeps them as a 4.

Maine, BU, Brown, St. Lawrence, Union, Michigan and the AHA teams are all autobids or nothing.
