Re: Bracketology and the PairWise Rankings II

A cynic would speculate that the committee would find a reason to switch Yale and Michigan...

You just beat me to it. I think they will find a way to put Michigan in Fort Wayne.

As long as they keep Wisconsin in St. Paul, I'll be happy.

Re: Bracketology and the PairWise Rankings II

Absolutely ridiculous bracket in Worcester, but I wouldn't mind playing in it, because if you make the Frozen Four you have certainly earned it.....not to mention it would be awesome to watch.

i may get tickets to worcester to see those three games. that should be some great hockey.

Re: Bracketology and the PairWise Rankings II

Wait, if St. Cloud wins it looks like they are the #1 seed.....unless my PWR predictor is wrong.

Re: Bracketology and the PairWise Rankings II

With 4 WCHA teams in the top 6, will they move one to avoid matchups?
Either SCSU or UND will be a #6 and get set in the #3 UW bracket.

I don't know why the committee would break up the 3/6 pair...they'd have to move #8 Bemidji and give #1 Miami a #6 SCSU team...don't know how the committee would justify that.

No, because it wouldn't be a first-round matchup. Plus, UW and SCSU/UND would help attendance in St. Paul.

Re: Bracketology and the PairWise Rankings II

Wow ... both RIT and Cornell in Albany could be a fun time. I hope it holds up that way. And just happy to see RIT's first trip to the DI tournament!!!:D :D :D

Re: Bracketology and the PairWise Rankings II

Oh dear lord! It looks like St. Cloud and UNH are matched together! Will hell freeze over and one of them win?????

Re: Bracketology and the PairWise Rankings II

So we got:

Miami
Bemidji State
Yale
Huntsville

Denver
Cornell
NMU
RIT

Wisconsin
St. Cloud
New Hampshire
Vermont

Boston College
North Dakota
Michigan
Alaska

So can someone tell me who goes where and will there be any adjustments for attendance (in your opinion)?

Officially, not until tomorrow morning. For speculation, read the last few pages of this thread.

Straight seeding....

Code:
[B]Albany Worcester Fort Wayne	St. Paul[/B]
Denver Boston College Miami Wisconsin
Cornell North Dakota Bemidji State	St Cloud
NMU Michigan Yale UNH
RIT Alaska Huntsville	UVM

And Miami gets two CHA teams in their bracket....

Re: Bracketology and the PairWise Rankings II

If the Worcester Regional comes out as people are predicting, I'll drive the 30 miles to the DCU Center tomorrow and get tickets.

Nailed it. That will be the line up. Who would have thought losing the WCHA championship would be a good thing for SCSU.

Although, the prospect of facing Wisc again is tough for SCSU.

Go Huskies. See you in St. Paul next weekend.:) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Re: Bracketology and the PairWise Rankings II

suppose easy switches might be

Yale to Worcester.. bring a heavy artillery, and it ain't because of the neighborhood!
UNH to Albany.
Michigan to Fort Wayne
NMU to St. Paul

honestly.. Worcester is shaping up to be a minny Frozen Four- only without the shinny Trophy!

Realistically, attendance looks good everywhere, I could see NMU and New Hampshire getting switched out, possibly NMU and Vermont to boost attendance in both Albany and St. Paul.
