Re: Bowdoin 2012-2013: Do the Boys earn the respect we think they deserve?
No Elvis mention? What an epic fail for a hockey article.

Elvis has left the building.
4 day after he died he was suppose to play the AUD. Most people around here think he made the right choice.
Elvis has left the building.
He probably started 4 days out. Anyway, how did you like your 1st trip to the AUD?Wasn't it three days (says the guy who stepped into the building for the first time ever yesterday)?

Oddly (AUDly), Elvis' next scheduled concert prior to his death was at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland, just down the street from Bowdoin.Wasn't it three days (says the guy who stepped into the building for the first time ever yesterday)?

Does Terry throw his hat into the BU coaching job??
You mean the BU alum who has 30 years of coaching experience and was just called a "legend" by Utica coach Gary Heenan yesterday?
The first period was mostly ugly for both teams except Bowdoin's first goal which was a beauty. It looked like everyone was adjusting to the bad ice. As for that first goal, you won't see a better finish at this level of hockey. The second goal was the result of a pretty drop-and-drive and good hard shot. In terms of quality, the period was roughly a draw though Bowdoin deserved its slight edge for finishing. In the second period Bowdoin did everything but score. It was one of the best periods I've seen any Bowdoin team play, thoroughly outplaying a good team on the road in the NCAA tournament, I was so fired up I had to leave my seat and watch from the aisle. But of course, Utica got the period's only goal (a well-executed odd-man rush and nice snap shot; Utica has a couple forwards with good snap shots). After that, credit to Utica for a strong third, they seized the momentum and earned the win. Both the second and third periods were Division III hockey at its best. Fun atmosphere in the Aud. Everyone (including the refs) battled through the bad ice and gave us a memorable game. Thanks to the students and staff who broadcast Bowdoin's home games online this season, their excellent work enabled those of us far from Brunswick to enjoy the ride. Congrats to the seniors on one of the best runs (maybe the best run) in program history.
