Bouncyball 2014/15

Re: Bouncyball 2014/15

Stephon Marbury is kind of a big deal in China. Musical about his life, stamps, a museum just about him, and now a green card.

At least Philly is (trying to) execute a plan to stock draft picks and get better.

The thing is, the Sixers have been trying to set a plan based on the draft for about as long as the Astros and Royals have. Yet somehow, in a sport where it can take years for draft picks to make it through the system, one baseball team was able to go from worst to playoffs and the other went from doormat to two straight WS, while the Sixers have somehow gotten worse.

At 1-29, Philly is on pace to win 2.7 games this season. Their current skid is 11 straight.

And their youngsters want them to sign some veterans. Philly doesn't have a player over the age of 25 right now.

In the East, Detroit (17-13) narrowly holds on to the last playoff spot by a half-game over the Celtics (16-13).

At this time last year, Detroit was far away from the playoffs.

Philly is now 4-35. Still on pace for the worst record ever.

Meanwhile, Golden State is 35-2, and could very well go back-to-back in NBA titles this year.
