BouncyBall 2013/2014

Re: BouncyBall 2013/2014

Warren Buffett is doing a bracket pool this March. If anyone comes up with a perfect bracket, he will give them one billion dollars. With a B.

I'm all over it.
This year I have a fool-proof method for picking winners: tats.

Re: BouncyBall 2013/2014

I'm very excited to see Iowa go on the road and play Michigan tonight. This would be a huge win for a team that wants to be a true Big Ten title contender.

Regardless, I'm just happy that it's exciting and fun to watch Hawkeye Basketball again.

Re: BouncyBall 2013/2014

About the terms of that $1 billion offer for a perfect NCAA bracket....a potential flaw in the plan:

The fix is in: A billion dollars is plenty of motivation for a consortium of thugs to fix the games. There are 68 teams in the NCAA tournament. An industrious gang with access to deep-pocketed backers could offer all five starters on every team a million bucks to cooperate. I don't think you'd need to bribe every starter to get the desired results, but let's assume it. Total cost: $340 million. That leaves $660 million for the bad guys.

Why would you have to bribe the starters on all 68 teams? Don't we want one team to win the whole thing?

Also, are the people we bribe going to take their bribes over time, the same way the billion will be paid out, or are we going to have to take the $500 million, before taxes, option so that we can immediately pay our backers? And speaking of taxes, will we have enough after paying taxes to pay off the $340 million fronted?

Re: BouncyBall 2013/2014

Marcus Smart just went legend.

If I'm that fan, they're wheeling me out on a stretcher with neck brace ala the dude that Rodman kicked. :D

Boo-ya network is gonna be on this for days.

fans need to be careful of what they yell too. it will be interesting to hear what exactly was said.

there is no way that players should be going into the stands, but fans can't think that just because they buy a ticket that they get carte blanche to say whatever they feel like yapping.

I agree. Just saying that the media will most likely go crazy with this.

Can't imagine that the fan was innocent.

Regardless this player seems to be making news for the wrong reasons.

Even assuming the fan dropped an n- bomb as many are presuming, Smart was still in the wrong for physically engaging the fan. You can't do that. End of story.

nope.

some fatass cracker drops a n word in that situation he should get his *** whipped. end of story.

Pistons fire Mo Cheeks.

The Pistons have become so awful that they're rivaling the Lions for most pathetic team in the state of Michigan.

Nope. You call security over, you have the refs kick the fan out of the game, or otherwise get game management involved. That's why they're there. You don't go into the stands. Smart deserves whatever suspension comes his way.

That the fan may have/likely did cross the line as well is irrelevant to Smart being in the wrong 100%.

Not to mention, everyone in the NBA now knows how to get under his skin as well.

If that's true, Smart really is an idiot.
