Boston University season thread - strike 3! last man there turn out the lights.

Is there any chance they could fall to 9th if they don't win another game?

They won't win another game. Not one. When they were done with the early schedule: BC, NoDak, and UNH and came through 10-5 I was full of optimism and wasn't sure "who was going to beat them the rest of the way." HA!

Chip Kelly got a job in the NFL because of I-AA. So did Jerry Rice, Joe Flacco, shall i continue?

i don't go watch pop warner football either.. sorry.

i'll watch the cream of the crop on sundays.
my time is too valuable to waste watching guys, 99.9% of them, who'll be future bouncers or nascar tire changers or working stiffs.

If you read the Hockey East playoff thread, unfortunately they are officially in.

Darn. Okay, can we get Tomasoni (sp?) back for the BU-BC quarter final games? All he did was score goals against BC.

Re: Boston University season thread - strike 3! last man there turn out the lights.

My family were season ticketholders to the Pats getting spanked, I live through UNH hockey year after year, and if the people are going to bandwagon, so be it. I'm a fan because of the memories of the good times, the downs of the tragedies and dealing with the lean times. If I only go during the good times it won't be authentic. This is not about Parker losing it, its about the fans not being that interested.

But see, that's my point. You're from New Hampshire. This is Massachusetts. We're front-runners, cynical, bombastic and arrogant. We think we know everything. It's NOT Lincoln, Nebraska (as someone said before) where we will pay and pay and pay and cheer and cheer and cheer even if we go 4 and 8. It's just not like that here. Part of the "fun" for us IS the arguing. Why do you think you guys call us Mass*oles?

36 penalty minutes and the end of game thuggery continues. Noonan gets 10 for elbowing/contact to the head. Kick him off too Jack...they just don't make them like they used to. Maybe we need some more off ice incidents? Goons. Lazy goons.

there is nobody left to fill in if he boots goonan

Refreshing to see that you're finally accepting what we've been telling you for years.

I disagree. I-AA football is good stuff. Some of the BU-UNH games at Nickerson were my favorite times as an undergrad. Robert Dougherty!

I'm glad that the lessons of the extra-curricular's in the penalty box from seasons prior sunk in with this team. All they do is want to go to the penalty box.

*sigh*

you know what? if bu had a field and let folks start tailgating at 6am and could stay all day/night, then maybe.... just maybe. but to go watch football that is on a par with florida high school (and at least the fla high school boys have a higher chance to play pro one day), again, no thanks.

JJ has been one of the more cynical bu fans IMO. He's not late to this party...

Re: Boston University season thread - strike 3! last man there turn out the lights.

I agree on the 1-AA football thing. Mookie is just being an elitist *****.

Re: Boston University season thread - strike 3! last man there turn out the lights.

He told him to go pro after sophomore year

OK guys this isn't funny anymore. Could you win some games and come up with SOMETHING for Jack to hang his hat on for the season (NCAA bid?). I didn't want things to get so bad Jack might actually be in danger of not coming back.

Fair enough. It was lacking to be sure. When BU won up at Army in front of 40000 fans it was amazing though. BU used to beat UCONN soundly and tHey were in the fiesta bowl a year or two ago. Sometimes I think the administration wants the teams to flounder so they can axe them. I really think they want to be like NYU or Chicago. Put a little in and get a little out.
