dude, seriously?!?! :D

you're not breaking any news here :p

It was starting to look like Union, Cansius and Yale was the road top the final still Union, Quinnipiac, Yale not much more formidable.

Kiss of death. UML is team to beat.

Re: Boston University season thread 4: Where BC comes to talk hockey

It's been 3 minutes. How does goudreau not have a hat trick already?

I wouldn't exactly call your end of Comme ave a draw in terms of location, unless of course you have a thing for concrete campuses, smog, filth, noise, homeless people, crime and rats the size of dogs.
Yes and the burbs is where every 18 year old wants to be over DT Boston.

Ask what an incoming freshman thinks of living at that end of Comm Ave versus virtually any hockey school in the country and you'll find a very, very short list of schools offering a better location in their eyes. Urban lifestyle for this generation trumps all else.

of course facts to often confuse you Carlton.

Yep. Except BC fans will all be watching it wearing two Jerry Eye-Patches!

Leafy suburbs, not in Boston and neighbors with the likes of carltonbarrett!
Most people would opt for the concrete jungle.

Re: Boston University season thread 4: Where BC comes to talk hockey

Yeah, on a 3-on-1, Goudreau gets all fancy and loses the puck.

That describes this game for BC.

I'm bracing as we speak. Bracing to stay awake watching this game. In other news traffic northbound on I-95 is light.

I guess dressing up like a pirate didn't inspire BC like York thought it would. :D. He needs to retire for the sake of his health.

Jerry is trying out for a Captain's Morgan advertisement.

The Dos Equis ads - "the Most Interest Man in the World" - are already taken by a BU alum!

Re: Boston University season thread 4: Where BC comes to talk hockey

With the elimination of BC (aww, we're all crying for you), there will be a first-time NCAA champion this year. And while all the woofing has been 'Hockey East is better than the WCHA', don't look now, but there are going to be 2 ECAC teams in the Frozen Four. Let's keep the title in Hockey East. (Or give Miami redemption for being on the other side of 2009)

I'll be back in my perch next season to start the Quinning Era.

Go Terriers!

Re: Boston University season thread 4: Where BC comes to talk hockey

BU is a top 4 job.

Union has risen!!!! :)

Re: Boston University season thread 4: Where BC comes to talk hockey

Former BU goalie Jason Tapp is a Union assistant coach as well as their goalie coach. Well played, Tapper!

The guy sitting next to my youngest in 2009 will forever be the personification of the Miami hockey program to me...so I'm fine if they never qualify for, much less win, a FF.

They had the #1 team on the ropes and couldn't finish the deal..that should be what lingers as the highlight of their program.

Re: Boston University season thread 4: Where BC comes to talk hockey

To all the BC Trolls on this thread, to quote J.D. "it is only fitting" that BC lose big to an EZAC team in arguably the weakest regionaL Stuffed by Parker and BU in the last meeting with York and then stomped by the Onion. Yes, FITTING indeed.

Re: Boston University season thread 4: Where BC comes to talk hockey

If you think that Lowell is an extraordinary good team green horn, I got some tapes for you to watch of some other college teams over the years. When did you start folowing college hockey in the Kenny Roche era, haha.

Do teams that are not very good typically make the Frozen Four?

Keep telling yourself how good Lowell is if thats makes you feel better newbie. Lowell could be a 1-4 upset and will not make it out of their region. -The Troll

Guess not.

Everything I have heard on here from the fanboys is expected, thank goodness there is another point of view heard from or this would be a love-in. This was a subpar effort a stinker in the biggest game of most their lives. What you are hearing on here is the wussification of the BU hockey culture. Bring on a Coach who doesnt applaud a "nice try". The senior class had an embarassing run of futility not seen ever in this program, and Megan put an exclaimation on it with his putrid play when it most counted.BC fans were more ticked off by last night and they are riding on a pretty impressive streak of success and headed to the NCAAS as one of the two favorites with Minny, then BU fans who are happy with a semi-spirited effort. Spare me.

BC was one of the favorites?

BC will go two wins further in the NCAAS then Lowell mark it down, despite all of the Supefans sandbagging.

Hope you didn't put money on that.

You are a joke to think that was some sort of admirable effort tonite to be shutout in a do or die game to the "best team in the country" lol. The lack of urgency was frightening. That shows how far this program has sunk that a "nice try" against the Engineers is laudable. Wade Megan had about as uneventful/unsuccessful of a 4 year career as a BU Captain has ever had. His falling down and then the heads up play to throw the puck back to his own blue line was a choke that turned out costing BU a trip to the NCAA's and a going away championship to the beloved Coach.

I believe I said arguably the best... not for sure the best. I think we can comfortably say they are at least one of the best.

Futile effort in arguably the biggest game of their college careers, when you cant put a puck in the net in a game that can end your season and lose FOUR times to Lowell in one season you deserve to lose and feel bad about it. Now we know why Megan is one of the few BU players to go four years without a trophy of any kind. The "captain" was invisible all night except when he sent Lowell up on the game deciding breakout. The future "pro" Nieto gagged on every scoring attempt he had tonite and did O'Reagan and Gill dress? Only Rodriques, Maguire and Gerzlyck stepped up tonite. Well the day I have been waiting for since the late 1990's is finally here and I am excited to see the changes that will come about without Parkers influence around. I expect recruiting better "college" players, on-ice discipline, effort and desire every night, pride, players wanting to stay for 4 years, class, a home advantage, respect for and from the opposition, and a quiet motivational Coach. Whomever that is welcome and where the heck have you been its been a brutal 15 years and I want my program back!

At least we were not alone in not being able to crack Lowell's d. Apology coming to the Megan, Nieto et al? Or will you be doing that in private?

Taking everything into consideration, I don't really think it is an opinion...but I understand what you're saying. To me (in no particular order), the top four jobs in the country are Minnesota, North Dakota, Michigan and Wisconsin.

I'll give you Minnesota and Michigan, although I tend to agree with Hoky's list... I don't see North Dakota or Wisconsin as ahead of either BU or BC in terms of job desirability.

If I listed a top 5, I'd say Wisco, MN, MI, BC, BU Don't know what order I would put them in.
