Boston University off-season thread (preparing for 16/17).

Re: Boston University off-season thread (preparing for 16/17).

I feel like Drury did it during his Junior year (with one of them perhaps being his 4-goal effort against BC. If not, then perhaps Jay Pandolfo's senior year (I know he had at least 4 tricks that year, feel like it may have even been 6).
It was Chris Drury, but not his junior season.

As for Jay Pandolfo, he had 5 hat tricks his senior season. He started off hot with a hat trick in the season opening game against North Dakota, had a shorthanded hat trick against Northeastern in the 4th game of the season and a third hat trick two games later against New Hampshire. His fourth hat trick was against UMass six games later and he had his final hat trick of the season in the Hockey East semifinal loss to Providence.

I watched most of the first two periods on the stream:

- Love the streaming. Other than a few times where the score was occupying the entire middle of the screen for 20 seconds while action was ongoing, I thought the production was well done/ Certainly an improvement.
- I agree that this U18 team appears to be weaker than recent years. Perhaps I am over-influenced by the fact that the 3 BU guys on the team appear pretty average. That said, I thought Farrance's skating was impressive and I could see him improving as the year goes on and being an impact freshman. It seemed Tkachuk didn't play that much. Was it just me?
- Harper - what can you say? He reminds me of Cal Ingraham. His touch with the puck around the net is a cut above. He knows where to go to get good scoring opportunities, and needless to say, he is cashing in on them at an a torrid pace. I'm sure things will settle down with real competition, but the bottom line is that he is going to be a big contributor on this team.
- Keller looks phenomenal, as we expected he would.
- Interesting that with so much freshman scoring in these two exhibitions, Bellows has been blanked.
- Fabbro likes to shoot.
- Looking forward to seeing how they do against real competition.

I've been a little disappointed with Bellows. He ripped a couple heavy (inaccurate) shots last night but hasn't really done much. Some guys take a little longer to adjust to a higher level of play and also figure out where they fit on a team. Hopefully he will come along later on. On the other hand, I've been really impressed by Fabbro. His defense last night, in particular, was great.

I agree, I am not, nor will I ever be as talented as mookie, Nick, Patronick, or jcarter. I'll keep trying though

I think mookie is talking about the student section?

Anyhoo....the best part of last night's game was the fact that it ended just after 9pm. Not like the PEI game, that seemed to take six hours.

For any of you here that went to the game - did you park in the garage? If so, why is the BU police now directing traffic to take a left out of the garage to go up Agganis Way? I want to head east to pick up Storrow by the BU Bridge, so I would go right out of the garage and head up Buick Street and then take a left down Comm Ave at the light. Now, when I go up Agganis, you have to take a right at Cane's. The traffic going up into Allston is awful. It happened Saturday night, but I thought the reason they did that was because of the game at Fenway.
