Boston University off-season thread (preparing for 16/17).

Re: Boston University off-season thread (preparing for 16/17).

You beat me to it. Those had to have been the worst conditions for a D-1 hockey game in the modern era.

It wasn't all bad. About 20 minutes into the delay some drunk guy went and bought like 20 beers (which I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to be allowed to do...) and just started handing them out to random people for free. Watching the refs make wakes as they skated around was entertaining. I also have to give credit to whoever was running the music up in the booth for finding an hour's worth of rain-themed music.

Free agent signings:
Wade Megan to St. Louis
Brian Strait to Winnipeg
David Warsofsky back to Pittsburgh
Adam Clendening--fast becoming the Suitcase Simpson of hockey--to NY Rangers. His sixth team in two years.

That analogy is a real antique - and appropriate. I must assume that you are also a "mature" baseball fan. If Clendening ever reaches the Islanders, he can renew his warm relationship with their AC, Greg Cronin.

Those are some big impact signings! ;)

Yikes, he sounds like LeBron. Not one, not two, not three, not... Let's just get the next one please. :)
And what's wrong with that? He said championships, which includes the Beanpot (for some, especially BC fans these days), Hockey East and Frozen Fours. Would you prefer Coach Quinn not state he thinks BU teams can win championships? The article is about Coach Quinn possibly being noticed by NHL teams looking for new head coaches and I for one am happy to see him still looking forward to coaching BU and winning championships.

Well in four years LeBron delivered two titles and two more Finals appearances. If BU goes to the next four national championship games and wins two of them I think we'd all be fairly satisfied with Quinn.

It's been nearly 3 weeks since the NHL draft.
You guys won the NC yet?

:D
