really? BC lost to UConn last year and just tied them at Conte with a vastly superior team than the one that lost to them last year, then there was this beauty at Conte Forum

http://hockeyeastonline.com/men/recaps14.php?mbc_hcr1.n29

and then this more recent beauty

http://hockeyeastonline.com/men/recaps16.php?mbc_osu1.d28

point being, happens all the time

BC: 22 - 4- 5 #4 in the PWR and trending up HE: 13 - 1 - 5 31 PTS 83 GF 40 GA 1st Place
BU: 17 - 9 - 5 T10 in the PWR and trending down HE: 10 - 5 - 4 24 PTS 60 GF 51 GA 5th Place

Head to head: BC 1 - 0 - 1

National Championships Since 2000: BC 4 BU 1

I get your point (and not to make this just about BU vs BC), but your argument sort of rings hollow...

Not meant to be disparaging. My point was, every time I say ANYTHING negative I get his with the "it could be worse" line. Meaning (I guess) that it's OK to accept underachievement. Well, that's consistent with today's society anyway..."Let it go." ... "What difference does it make?" .... you get the point... :)
I get it. Sometimes it SUCKS - TO - B - us. Wouldn't trade it for anything though. Exiting the Whitt last night in the snow? Classic on campus UNH experience. Especially after a "victory".

I hear you. My uncle and brother-in-law are UNH graduates. Went to several games at Snively ("This is the WINNING team.....this is the LOSING team....WINNING team! LOSING team! WINNING team! LOSING team!). Good memories...you know, I watched that clip (I think C-H-C) posted it about the RPI game back in the 70s with Clark, Hislop and Cox leading that comeback. What struck me was how absolutely WILD the crowd was going (no hi-def then, but if you look into the stands you can see)! People going absolutely bananas, jumping up and down. Like it was the only place to be. We don't get much of that passion and commitment to anything anymore and, personally, that's kind of sad from my perspective. It's even worse in the big cities where it seems as though people are "too sophisticated" to stand up and cheer...

Don't get me started. On the plus side, we heard "What's it spell? UNnnnnnHhhhh" for the first time in forever last week and the UML fans are hooligans by today's standards. Still waiting to "beat 'em with the bloody stumps" again.

So, after everyone gets through all of chickod's lengthy musings.....there's a game tonight. An important one. And Maguire has a broken finger. No word on what the deal is with him. Is he out the rest of the season? I like LaCouvee. He really performed well earlier in the season. I'm not too concerned other than not knowing where things stand with Maguire. And what about Hickey?? That hit didn't look good. I'm concerned he's done for the season. We're down a #1 goalie and a solid defenseman. Assuming this means John MacLeod dresses tonight.

Senior night tonight. Game's at 7pm mookie. :)

I'd like to see MacLeod and Switzer get into the game. Fortunato doesn't deserve to dress.

They said on the broadcast last night that he "could play" tonight, but they might let him wait another week. NOTE: This was a shorter musing... :)

Are we at all surprised no HE suspension for Eiserman after that hit?

Switzer plays, MacLeod sits.

I can't believe Fortunato continues to be in the lineup. This is a perfect example of what Tom Ryan was talking about last Saturday. Quinn continues to put guys in the lineup who don't deserve to be out there. Seriously questioning his decision making. I'm not surprised these defensemen are not improving.

Rogie was telling me how great macleod would be though! ;)

What's hickey's status?
